Hi, I am Gaby, a person-centred counsellor and Supervisor with nearly 20 years of counselling experience working with people of all ages covering a wide range of issues: a local charity working with people and their families affected by cancer, loss and bereavement; young person’s counselling both in a mental health charity and high schools; and, currently, I am working as a counsellor in an higher educational setting for staff and students.
Previously, in Venezuela (my home country), I worked in a multi-disciplinary private practice supporting client with any issues they might bring. I am neurodivergent (inattentive ADHD), so this is another area I am very familiar with.
I have been told by my clients that I am compassionate, patient, helpful, dedicated and when appropriate, funny. Despite the many years of experience, I still treat every case with fresh eyes, considering the uniqueness of what it is to be human in a world that can be so beautiful and so challenging at the same time.
