I see individuals and couples with a variety of needs, ranging from deep psychological and emotional difficulties to a wish to optimize inner resources, life competencies and wellbeing. Distress may arise in response to specific life events, or more generally from difficulties in our private or professional lives. Therapy offers opportunities to be fully heard, to identify obstacles in the way of healing and growth, to generate insights and to develop new life skills. I approach my work with sensitivity to the uniqueness of each individual, and tailor my interventions to best meet their therapeutic goals and sustain positive change.
I am a chartered counseling psychologist with over 25 years experience in the NHS and private practice. I offer time-limited as well as longer term therapy, either in person, by phone or on-line. Key areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, adjustment to loss, and relationship difficulties. I also offer coaching and consultations.
A key premise in my work is that change is possible in most of us with personal will and professional guidance. I provide a safe, warm, and non-judgmental space in which difficult issues can be discussed. I encourage my clients to see change as an evolving process, and challenges as opportunities for growth.
