Being human is hard, but you don't have to go it alone. I can help you understand yourself better and improve your relationship with yourself and others, to ultimately live a more fulfilling life. My primary modality is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with a holistic, personalised approach. A lot of my clients happen to be students or work in post-doc positions, but I have worked with people from diverse backgrounds on a variety of issues. I have an interest in working with anxiety and related issues, such as procrastination and perfectionism, and am passionate about how video games can support well-being.

I know how difficult it is to reach out for support and how bumpy our personal journey can be at times. I am a fully qualified, experienced therapist and I work with a variety of issues including trauma, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationship issues and stress. I believe that the key in my therapeutic work is simply being there for you with an open heart and mind. Being fully present means meeting you and your life's journey with empathy and compassion, because I know from the experience how powerful it can be to feel really seen and understood.

At some point in our lives we all encounter difficulties. We each have unique experiences of these struggles and at times they can feel overwhelming. Experience and research lets us know that therapy can help. You may seek therapy if you feel stressed, anxious or struggle with low mood. You might find yourself affected by current or past experiences related to work, the home or relationships. Or it might be that you simply long for a confidential space to be heard and understood. Counselling and psychotherapy can help wherever you are in your life.

Having lived in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Manchester, and Glasgow, I gained unique experiences, being a guest from different cultures and struggling to fit in. Now, finding peace within my authentic self, I can empathise deeply with individuals experiencing life transitions, anxiety and self-doubt. I will treat your experience and opinions with respect, compassion and honesty because I want you to feel safe to talk openly in therapy. I intend to work with you as a team to fully understand how you respond to what happened. When you feel fully understood, a weight is lifted, and you will be more able to reflect and move forward.

The idea of my approach is an integrative one: I've studied, and I'm qualified to deliver, a mixed modality of therapies to address client issues. From psychodynamic active listening and using a safe space to get things out in the open, or perhaps using CBT techniques to address something specific, either way - I'm equipped to help guide you through what it is that is troubling you, or holding you back, from moving forward.

I am a charted counselling psychologist and believe that the key for successful therapy is the cooperation between clients (you) and myself. I aim to promote honest conversations regarding your needs, goals and aims, along with my ability to help you meet these. I am able to provide therapy both in English and Greek, and have developed a passion for e-therapy. E-Therapy is personal as the video function helps promote the therapeutic relationship while also being practical and time effective by taking away the hassle of travelling for your sessions. E-therapy can be complemented with face to face sessions every few months.

Sometimes we can feel stuck in life, and find ourselves caught in a cycle of unhelpful behaviour patterns or ways of relating to ourselves and others. We may feel conflicted, anxious sad or depressed but don't know why. We want to understand ourselves better and to be understood by others. We want to achieve inner peace but we don’t know how to, or feel we have the capacity to make changes or achieve lasting healing.

My ideal client is a queer person looking to enhance their self love and enjoyment of relationships. They are curious about owning their sexuality and being a more open and authentic person in general. They are open to mindfulness and creating rituals to become more intentional in their lives. I'm looking for clients that understand that the world isn't very supportive of them and they want to become more able to handle the challenges of the world while also moving forward with a clear understanding of their values.

I am a relational therapist and take a holistic approach to my clients. Broadly speaking this means I treat the person and not their problem or disorder. Rather than seeing mental health difficulties like depression or anxiety as something wrong with you that need to be fixed, I view them as valid and understandable responses to challenging life experiences. My work as a therapist is informed by both my academic training as well as my own personal struggles in striving for good mental health. I try to combine my theoretical knowledge of what can help with my own personal understanding of how challenging our lives and strugges can be

Is online therapy a good option?
Therapy conducted online or over the phone can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your postcode.
What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counsellor?
Therapists, psychologists, and counsellors are all licensed mental health professionals. In many countries, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counsellor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counsellors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.
What type of therapist is right for me?
Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist, psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counsellor who can offer short-term, targeted support.
Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?
The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors. Many have been licensed by the country where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counselling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.
What type of therapy is right for me?
The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.
Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?
Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
