Starting therapy can feel like a real challenge. It can be hard to muster up the courage to open up to someone new. Some people tell themselves their problems don't count. Others have learnt from a young age to hide their feelings to get by. And some people worry about being judged if they speak honestly and vulnerably. Whatever you're feeling, I really welcome you. My hope is that you will find me to be warm and compassionate, and that we will build a therapeutic relationship that will help you to explore whatever hurts and challenges have brought you to therapy, and make the changes you need to live in more satisfying ways.
Therapy offers the opportunity to: feel heard; experience a relationship where you are welcome to bring all facets of yourself; work through challenging feelings and experiences; welcome emotions; understand patterns of thinking, feeling and behaviour; explore where you feel stuck; feel more at home in yourself and in your relationships with others.
If you're interested in working with me, the first step is to send me an email or give me a call. If this feels daunting, I aim to put you at ease. I offer a free 15 minute telephone call to discuss what you're looking for help with and to find out if we feel like a good fit to work together. I really welcome you getting in touch.
