Hi there, and thank you for taking the time to view my profile. My name is Kathryn, and I am a clinical psychologist based in Lichfield. I have been working in the NHS since 2010, and during this time, I have had the privilege of being able to meet and work with so many different people, all with their own unique stories, and all needing help in some way. The work is never the same, but I hope that I am always able to make a difference to the lives of the people that I work with, and I always learn something from them too, which I am eternally grateful for.
I worked for a number of years in an adult CMHT, using a range of therapeutic models with clients who were presenting with all sorts of often quite complex difficulties. I then worked in a service for people who had experienced sexual trauma, often in childhood, and here I primarily used Compassion Focused Therapy, a model that fits really well with trauma
It takes a lot of strength and courage to seek help, and I appreciate how difficult the therapy process can be. I aim to create a space where people can explore and work through their difficulties with a sense of safeness, with warmth and without judgment.
