Hi, I am AJ. I am a UKCP accredited Integrative Clinical Psychotherapist, qualified at MSc level with distinction, offering both short/long term work. My practice offers a supportive setting for you to feel comfortable and accepted while providing a safe, nurturing and non-judgmental environment. My training and experience enables me to work 1-2-1 and with couples, alongside using EMDR to specialise in working with anxiety, depression, relationship issues and trauma. My aim is to provide you with the tools you need to better understand yourself and to help move you to a richer, healthier and more fulfilling life.
Our work will be informed by a holistic understanding of how our early experiences influence the way we see ourselves/others and what we have learned to expect. These expectations can cause us distress that is felt in the mind and body. I will work creatively with you to understand your emotional world and help you to manage this through.
I offer face-to-face, telephone or online work in English/Punjabi with a free consultation to help ease any worries you may have. As a committed researcher, (currently doing a PhD at Edinburgh University) I strive to find unique ways to enhance my work to support my clients, alongside being able to direct my work with BAME and diversely cultured clients.
