I believe we are all different and what is beneficial to us changes as we encounter challenges throughout life. You may suffer from emotional problems including anxiety and depression, low self worth or relationship issues, struggle with bereavement or a life transition, eating disorders, panic, anger or traumatic experiences. Your goals may include alleviating symptoms of your distress, increasing self-awareness, better coping skills, exploring past experiences or developing emotional resilience. Whatever challenge brings you to therapy, you would like things to be different going forward.
As an integrative psychotherapist I have been trained to work in a variety of ways and to be flexible according to the individual client's needs. My approach draws on humanistic, cognitive-behavioural and psychodynamic models of therapy to help gain an understanding of your lived experience and how you make sense of it.
Often the most challenging part of going to therapy is finding the right person. Fundamental to my approach is a trusting and collaborative relationship. I offer a free telephone consultation for new clients. This allows you to get to know me and decide whether you would like to work with me. I offer face-to-face and online sessions.
