My approach helps you to recognise when feelings are out of balance with experiences and make changes accordingly. My work aims to help you find a way that you can understand and use to navigate life's challenges through working relationally to better understand your own potential. Prior to qualifying as a counsellor I worked in executive and leadership positions helping me to understand the struggles and stress associated with a demanding and insecure workplace.
My work is integrative, this means working with a combination of cognitive, humanistic, psychodynamic, and existential techniques. Those techniques combine to help my clients investigate, learn, and change their situation through working with a defined model. It is all about gaining understanding and relating to enable positive changes.
It takes courage to start working with a counsellor. You might just be curious about how and who you are, or suffering as a consequence of difficult relationships at work or home. Whatever your discomfort I aim to help you find a way to restore some understanding and confidence to deal with the events, feelings, and challenges, that your life presents.
