Queer-, trans- and polyamory-affirming. At different points in our lives, we struggle with the feeling that our life has lost its sense of purpose or direction. This experience of aimlessness may lead to feelings of depression, anxiety or confusion. Sometimes this lack of meaning arises after a sudden change in our circumstances such as the loss of a job, the end of a relationship, or a bereavement. At other times, we may feel that over time our lives have drifted further and further away from what we’d hoped for ourselves. At times like these, speaking with a psychotherapist can help.
Therapy is an opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings with a someone who is present and compassionate, but who isn't a friend or a family member. From this critical distance, I can offer thoughts about patterns of behaviour or faulty beliefs which may be difficult for you to see. In doing so, I can help you to identify what gives your life meaning.
I am particularly interested in working with clients who experience a sense of otherness such as LGBT+ people, people in ENM relationships, POCs, disabled people, and working class people. These identities may or may not be central to our work, but working with a therapist who is knowledgeable can help you feel safer about being your fullest, authentic self.

Groups
Online Queer & Trans Therapy Group (Tues Evening)

I run online therapy groups for people who identify as queer, trans and/or polyamorous or ethically non-monogamous. Whilst these identities might not always be directly related to what people bring to the group, many people find it comforting to be in community with people who have shared or similar identities. Groups are an opportunity to learn from others and benefit from multiple perspectives on the challenges you face. Groups can also be a fantastic place to discover who you are in relation to others by becoming more mindful of your reactions, thoughts, and emotional responses to others.
