We are currently offering private psychotherapy sessions, as well as therapeutic support for organisations in within the West Midlands. Our approach to psychotherapy is integrative, creative and always catered to the individual's needs. We believe that integrating various approaches enables individuals to receive personalised support. This may look like; a talking based approach, a creative approach, a mindful approach, using the breath and body, using art materials and much more. Establishing Reintegrate as a private practise acknowledges that all individuals are unique and the approach to psychotherapy should reflect this.

When someone asks how you are – do you say “fine”, when inside you are struggling with anxiety, angry thoughts, low mood or tensions because of conflict between you and others? Maybe you are feeling lost and confused due to difficulties in your relationship? Is there an experience from your past that you would like to resolve? Or are you trying to adjust to changes in your life whether that is an illness or a bereavement? I can help.

We all have times in our lives when, for whatever reason, we are struggling on a personal level. No one needs to suffer alone and talking therapy is a tool that you should find to be most beneficial, not only during such difficult times but also to help you move to a happier, more contented place within yourself. By simply sharing our thoughts and feelings with someone who has a open ear and is willing to be there with you on your journey can help greatly. Enabling you to feel heard, understood and also help you tap into your strengths.

I believe that all therapy is very personal and has to fit with you, therefore my main focus is always you and your journey. This means that I want to provide a safe and accepting environment where we can work together to bring about the changes you want to make. I have had my own counselling journey through the years and know how the counselling experience supported me. So, some years ago I decided to pay it forward. I bring knowledge, expertise and experience from holding a BA Honours degree in Psychology and a Professional diploma in Psychotherapeutic counselling practice, all I ask is you bring the person you know best. You.

Female Counsellors
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
