I am an integrated counsellor using person centred and CBT in my work. Person centred counselling is very gentle with the belief that each individual has within them the capacity to change as they already hold their own answers. CBT is more directive and looks at improving your state of mind now rather than the cause of your distress in the past.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and ensure I follow their Ethical Guidelines and Framework for Good Practice in Counselling. I am also required to have adequate supervision as stated by the BACP as part of the good practice. I am married with 2 children aged 21 and 26 and have 2 dogs :)
