Are you feeling stuck? Overwhelmed? Struggling to get through the day? Or perhaps something just isn't feeling right. I've been there, and I want to help you get through it. Through my own lived experience I know how hard it can be to reach out. Whether you're struggling with possible or diagnosed ADHD or ND, trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem or relationship issues (romantic, familial or friendly), I want to help. I provide a safe and supportive environment where you can bring whatever you need to our sessions. I aim to facilitate an exploration of your experiences and emotions so you can step closer to who you truly are.

Hello I am a Core Process Psychotherapist. I practice in Exeter and Crediton. I believe we have a longing to be truly seen and heard. In Core Process Psychotherapy, together, we slow down enough to see the ways in which the strategies we have used to cope can keep us stuck long after they are helpful. With this seeing you then have a choice to take another path and be in the world in a freer more satisfying way.

I am a fully insured and BACP-registered Integrative Therapist and Supervisor, as well as a member of the Westcountry Association of Counsellors (WAC). I have been in professional practice for 11 years, and work with 18+ individuals and groups using a variety of different counselling models and methods. Although I would broadly describe myself as a 'Person-Centred Therapist', my methods are entirely client-led and not dictated by any personal preference in terms of therapeutic model.

Psychotherapy and counselling is a bit like building an extension on our home. Our home is ourselves. Wherever we go in the world, we take ourselves with us. We are our vehicle to life. Would you like to navigate life in a home that is built the way you have chosen, that is solid and stable and where there are no limits to its growth? The good news about building your extension is that you don’t have to do it alone. I will be steadfastly alongside you, as you explore yourself and your reasons for arriving into therapy. Through working with me, it is possible to live your life with more ease, comfort and choice.

It was Mr Miyagi in the movie “The Karate Kid” who said, “You know, but you do not understand.” We are often aware of the feelings and thoughts we are having, the behaviours they are causing and the distress that can generate. We can even know the traumas that have happened that we can attribute them to. But we can’t understand or articulate them enough to change them and heal. Perhaps this is the way you feel? Maybe you have been struggling with anxiety, depression or both for some time and everyday life is more challenging than you want it to be? Maybe you’ve experienced a traumatic event that you can’t seem to get over?

My clients are at the heart of every session, creating a welcoming, safe and relaxed atmosphere where communication can flow freely and openly. The most important thing is that you are comfortable, at ease and feel able to talk. I aim to help you see your challenges more clearly and to face the problems with less anxiety and tension. It can be an opportunity to think and speak your truth without fear of judgement. I am trained to incorporate techniques associated with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Guided Visualisation, Psycho-dynamic Therapy and Transactional Analysis amongst others into my work.

My work is undertaken within a spiritual framework. I am able to offer a safe place where you can be heard, thus enabling you to look at issues, feelings and emotions. I will give you the support and clarity you require to empower you to make the changes in your life you feel you’d like to make. I am able to work in a creative way this can often help when you feel that word are just not enough to express what you are feeling. I am able to work not only with the problem on top but also with any underlying problem or pattern of behavior you may wish to change.

I'm Jerry and I practice as a Mindfulness Based Cognitive psychological trainer. I have worked with many clients including, Olympic & Paralympic athletes, pro golfers, pro footballers, university sports, pro cycling, creatives & leaders. I train people in how to enhance their self-belief for: performance optimisation, emotional regulation, resilience & effective decision making. Pressure in performance environments is a certainty. How we perceive pressure, determines our response. We can choose how to think about pressure and this depends on our level of self-belief, the essential ingredient when navigating demanding environments.
