I am a client led therapist with a focus on building trust in the relationship. I tend to work with clients who have complex or enduring difficulties, such as multiple diagnosis, or complex life circumstances. I work on the premise that we all need to be heard. Collaboration and curiosity are the cornerstones of my practice. I am interested in learning about you and what approach works best for you. In unison, what I provide is a safe, non-judgemental space which facilitates talking, expressing, moving and being creative as channels to your journey of self-discovery.

I'm sex positive, sex worker allied and have experience of kink dynamics.
As you’re reading this I imagine you're seriously considering therapy, let’s take a moment to recognise that first step. Whether it's your first time or you’ve been on this journey before I'm here to help. Maybe you’ve not been feeling yourself lately or for a while, experiencing anxiety, struggling in work or personal relationships. Perhaps you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed by this particular chapter of your life or are concerned about a pervasive lack of purpose or direction. I’m here to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where we can explore these difficulties together and work toward positive change.

I offer a sex positive, kink-aware and GSRD-informed therapy environment where everyone is welcome.
Life can surprise and challenge us in many ways. Having a safe space and the support of a therapist can help you explore and 'make sense' of what's troubling you, build new perspectives and move forward in life in healthier ways.

Clients come to me for help with a range of issues, including improving their relationships, managing (or creating) change, and overcoming challenges. Much of my work is with people who, like me, are neurodivergent (e.g. ADHDers, autistic or AuADHD) and/or GSRD (Gender, Sex and Relationship Diverse - e.g. queer, trans, NB, consensually non-monogamous or kinky). I am sex and kink-positive, and my approach is affirming whether or not neurodivergence and GSRD relate directly to our work together. Whether you're seeking support as an individual, a couple, or a triad, I can offer you a safe, accepting space in which to explore and grow.

I often work with clients who are struggling to accept part of their sexual (or non-sexual) identity, gender identity, or are experiencing shame around a kink or fetish.
Hi, I’m Beck, and I’m a sex and relationship therapist. I am a GSRD specialist, and frequently work with non-monogamy, gender, sexuality and kink; as well as psychosexual and relationship therapy. I am also a neurodiversity affirming therapist, which means that you won't be pathologised for who you are or how your brain works in my practice. I help individuals and intimate partners to create relationships with themselves, each other and sex that they want, in a way that is congruent with their identity.

I also work with issues around kink/BDSM, and non-traditional (polyamory/non-monogamous) relationship styles.
I believe that therapy allows you to take a more active role in understanding and experiencing your emotions. When we are not aware of our emotions or ideas, it can mean we act out certain behaviours – or experience certain feelings - without knowing why. And while we might be able to tolerate this for some time – perhaps even for a long time - I believe there is a difference between surviving and living. Developing a closer – or less mysterious - relationship with ourselves can allow us to go beyond living life passively and begin to really experience it.

Hi, I'm Kevyn. I am a counsellor that focuses on providing therapy that is tailored to you, and understands that your experiences and needs will be as unique as you. I've got experience helping with LGBTQ+ community, gender identity , trans experiences, sexuality, polyamory, consensual non-monogamy, kink, bereavement, abuse, trauma, anxiety, low moods, confidence and many other areas. Most importantly, it can be hard or scary to make that first step to contact a counsellor so I want to work with you to make that as easy as possible, so offer a free, 30-minute introductory phone or video call so we can get to know each other.

I am sex-positive, kink-knowledgeable, and sex-worker-allied.
Love is complex. We can all encounter relational or intimacy struggles as we try to find our place in the world romantically or sexually. Becoming comfortable with who we are or with others can be challenging. Modern ideas on love include the freedom to choose the kind of relationship that works best for us. Contemporary relationships defy conventions, and in today’s world, where diversity intersects with all aspects of life, understanding love requires a deep dive into the societal, neurobiological, and the emotional landscapes that shape it.

Sex-Positive, Kink Allied Counsellors

Why might an individual want to see a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist?

A sex-positive or kinky individual may want to see a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist because the client may feel safer and more supported discussing their experiences and challenges. A therapist who identifies as kink-friendly will have experience with clients having diverse sexual preferences and will likely be nonjudgmental and supportive about issues brought to the table. It is important to note that sex-positive, kink-allied individuals may find equal success with therapists who do not have such specialised knowledge and background. The most important factor in the success of therapy is for the client and practitioner to form a strong, trusting bond.

Do therapists have special training to gain expertise in sex-positive, kink-allied treatment?

Generally, no. There are limited training programs and unofficial accreditations that therapists can pursue, but a therapist’s expertise will ultimately come from their previous experience with similar clients, their engagement with organisations that promote sex positivity or kink-allied lifestyles, and the importance they place on safety and cultural sensitivity.

How can individuals recognise a good sex-positive, kink-allied therapist?

An experienced therapist is able to help clients explore their sexual identity and expression and relieve any discomfort or stigma attached to discussing such matters and the client’s overall challenges. A therapist who is sex-positive and kink-allied is able to create an environment that honors a client’s experience and sexual preferences. To recognise a good therapist, clients can simply ask directly about topics and issues important to them and gauge their comfort level and connection with a clinician based on the responses.

Can clients benefit from having a therapist with a focus on sex positivity and alternative sexual lifestyles?

Some individuals may feel most comfortable knowing that the clinician they’re working with has a commitment to creating an atmosphere of sex positivity and has experience with relationship diversity and alternative relationship structures. Working with a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist may help clients respect their own challenges and improve identity-affirming treatment.
