Established in 2014, 5th Avenue Counselling is the practice of Marianne Mikhail Msc, offering an accessible option when you need therapeutic support, or just a space to talk and be heard.

My work experience has been very broad and experiences have been gained whilst working in many settings, they include care homes, Secure hospitals, CAMHS, educational settings SEMH, SENCO, EHCP. I am honored to hold the title of Chartered Psychologist which is legally recognized and reflects only the highest standard of psychological knowledge and expertise. By being a member of the BPS I am enrolled online on the search list of Chartered Psychologists and accredited and approved as a Qualified Chartered Psychologist. I am also an ADOS-2, ADI-R, and ABAS-3 clinician and able to offer Autism consultation assessments and diagnoses.

We ensure that everyone is receiving evidence-based therapy. Our CBT therapists are mental health professionals with an additional Post-Graduate degree specifically in CBT. Accredited as a BABCP practitioners we help people achieve their therapy goals in the widest context. I am a doctorally trained counselling psychologist, with a postgraduate diploma in counselling psychology, a masters in clinical neuroscience, and an honours degree in psychology. I have worked hard to be where I am, and, after a total of ten years of training, I aim to provide the best care possible for whomever I encounter. As an integrative counselling psychologist, I work in a holistic manner that takes into account clients’/patients’ whole perspective of who they are. I have extensive experience in different presentations: OCD, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, personality disorders and relationship issues. I am recognised by AXA, Cigna Aviva and WPA.

I have over ten years experience of working with children, adults and families, aiming to help people explore challenging situations or relationships, toward understanding how particular difficulties have risen and help you work through this time. I specialise in complex mental health and support individuals and families who have been affected. I have seven years experience working with children and teenagers who have Learning Disabilities and issues relating to school. I also see clients for various other struggles and work collaboratively to explore what is behind their anxiety, depression and to build self-esteem.

Hello, my name is Cheryl Overington and I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist. I am the Founder and Manager of the Heswall Hills Counselling Centre, a private therapy centre based in Heswall Hills on the Wirral. Finding the right therapist can be a daunting process.
