Life can be a rough ride. Keeping the balance and moving forward can be a challenge. It can involve stress, anxiety, depression and much more. But I believe through psychological therapies we can learn and, in some cases even master, the art of managing life successfully. To achieve this, I practise an integrative approach that draws strength from various therapies in the field. I am a qualified Psychotherapist at a Doctoral level and I feel confident to deal with complexity . My natural inclination is to help people in need. My recent training and qualifications do enhance my inclination especially to those psychologically unwell.

I’m an Integrative Psychotherapist, which broadly means that I’m trained in lots of different approaches and modalities and techniques.
Hello and Welcome, Life has indeed become complex. Many of us are now struggling with our mental health in ways that are no longer manageable. Our past and present hurts, our unprocessed feelings have risen to the surface. We find ourselves thinking, feeling and acting in ways that do not reflect who we want to be. Some of us have Grief, Trauma or Addiction that we just can’t seem to work through. As a Senior Accredited Psychotherapist with a Master Degree and EMDR Accredited, I've seen thousands come through my door, with various presenting issues and undergo genuine transformation, healing and leave with hope for the future.

I am an Integrative counsellor which means I am qualified and experienced in various theories allowing me to find one that works for you, including Cognitive behavioural therapy, Person-centred therapy, Solution focused therapy, Psychodynamic therapy and mindfulness techniques.
Hi, my name is David. I believe it takes great courage to make the first step towards counselling. Life can be complex and we all hit points where we really can't see the woods through the trees, I can help you to work through this, in a safe and comfortable setting, that is non-judgemental and confidential. I work with issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, anger, bereavement and loss, work related stress and low self esteem. My work helps you to identify emotions, work through your feelings and gain an understanding to make healthy choices, equipping you with the confidence and autonomy to find yourself.

I am an integrative psychotherapist that works with children and adults. I work intuitively and use whatever theory & practice best suits my clients' needs. I believe that when we are able to make sense of our responses to life, we are then able to choose and journey towards a healthier happy future. I have been counselling since 2013 and have worked in several schools with parents and children. If you are experiencing anxiety, depression or keep finding yourself in patterns of behaviour that are hindering you from your full potential, I would love to offer some support and explore possibilities.

As a ‘recovered anxious perfectionist’ myself I believe that learning to treat yourself with gentle kindness is the key to change; as an integrative therapist I know anxiety has deep roots in your life.
You feel anxious all the time…at work, in your relationships, with your friends and about your appearance, your home, your daily life. You may be tired of trying to control every outcome, feeling that everything is down to you, or possibly, you’ve even stopped caring. You might not even remember a time things didn’t feel this way. But one thing is for sure: you’re ready for some relief. You’re ready to feel confident . You’re ready to live in the present. Most of all, you’re ready to engage with the world based on WHO you are, not what you’ve achieved.

I am an integrative counsellor, which means I combined Person Centered and Psychodynamic approaches.
Having a confidential, listening and non- judgement ear is perfect in times of challenge. This can be hard to find amongst family and friends, due to the occupied lifes we lead. Thankfully there is a space here for you to talk, if you want it. As you share the detail of your concerns, together we will journey the highs and lows towards your desired outcomes. I will give value and acknowledgment, as well as show compassion. Our formed relationship will then bring forth insights that give you understanding, motivate change, allow you to experience acceptance and strengthen your mind. This experience is empowering and self satisfying.

As an integrative psychotherapist I specialise in the treatment of complex mental illness that may be attributed to childhood sexual abuse, physical/emotional/mental abuse experienced during childhood or early adulthood, unaddressed grief and/or complicated trauma.
Life today seems to be overloaded by a variety of stress in many spheres of existence. What should be enjoyable and fulfilling sometimes turns out to be the very cause of suffering. In the midst of the busy-ness of life, we do not take the time to address this suffering and instead criticise and blame ourselves. This could potentially leave us feeling confused and ashamed. Moreover shame does not heal the pain of suffering. Every human being has a need to be understood, accepted and validated because the human brain is wired for love. It is love that stimulates neurons and helps connect with other neurons in the brain.

I use an integrative approach in therapy, which means I draw from a number of different theories, depending on what is most appropriate.
I’m a Clinical Psychologist, working with high achievers who struggle with high functioning anxiety, self-confidence and self-esteem, burnout, stress, and relationship difficulties. If on the surface you look like you have it all together, but the silent voice of self-doubt plagues you, then we will likely work well together. I am what I call a 'why person' and like to work with the heart of a matter, rather than treat symptoms at a surface level. I work with both adolescents and adults, and have over 12 years experience.

How can I find a therapist in England?

Search for nearby therapists or counsellors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or postcode; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or postcode into the search bar.

Learn more about how to find a therapist.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online or over the phone can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your postcode.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counsellor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counsellors are all licensed mental health professionals. In many countries, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counsellor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counsellors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

What type of therapist is right for me?

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counsellor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors. Many have been licensed by the country where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counselling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
