My experience as an art psychotherapist draws upon
psychodynamic
theory, sensorimotor art therapy, cognitive approaches, and trauma-informed practice, so you can address emotional issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, physical or emotional pain, and adverse childhood experiences in an effective way.
Welcome to you and thank you for reaching out. It is a brave step to seek support. I will work with you to create a safe space where you feel comfortable and supported. It takes courage to work on your lived experiences and first we'll create safety in the therapeutic relationship so you can explore what is troubling you. Maybe you do not have words for your experiences and would feel safer exploring with art materials before you are able to say what is on your mind. Art therapy is a container for previously unmanageable emotions and painful thoughts or experiences which are often stored in the body as tension, stress or overwhelm.
