Working in several NHS Trusts, a specialist bereavement service and private practice has meant helping people overcome a range of difficulties, from low mood and self esteem, to stress,
insomnia
, worry and social anxiety, panic, phobias and OCD, or coping with traumatic events and loss, adjusting to health conditions or parenthood.
None of us are immune to the experience life throws at us and sometimes we can develop difficulties with depression, anxiety or both. This often affects how we think, feel and act, falling into negative cycles that can maintain problems. I specialise in using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help you identify and break these down so you can move forward positively in your life. Where helpful, I integrate other psychological approaches which sit well with CBT, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy, to tailor a course of therapy which will support you best.
