Life can be difficult, full of uncertainties and challenges, which can naturally leave us at times feeling distressed, overwhelmed, confused or alone. When we are feeling high levels of stress or anxiety it can be difficult to make sense of what is happening to us or how to move forward, sometimes it can be completely debilitating and frightening. At times we simply need space to explore a situation, a relationship or our sense of self. Whatever your reason for seeking therapy at this time, I would like to offer you a safe, compassionate space to explore what you need to and help you find a way forward that feels right for you.
As a integrative therapist, I offer a range of skills which allow me the flexibility to work in a way that is unique to you. I will draw upon a range of theories and approaches according to your personal experiences and needs. Our work will be very collaborative and empowering, helping you draw upon your own resources and find your own way forward.
I can work in person from my room in the centre of York, or I can work online, by telephone. I also offer outdoor therapy sessions. This allows us to work in a number of different therapeutic ways according to your needs and preferences. It is really important that you feel comfortable with your therapist, so the first 30 minute telephone call is free.
