Hi there. As a therapist, I offer a safe place to explore a wide range of personal and private issues in confidence. I believe that people suffer unnecessarily due to a lack of education on the purpose, function and management of the mental and emotion parts of ourselves. I want to bridge the gap between those that have studied and those that have struggled with mental health. I am here to support you in your journey by offering a friendly, impartial and philosophical yet practical perspective, to assist you in understanding what may be going on and to devise and tailor a way to healing and happiness.

Here's what we might work on together: - Breaking free from intrusive thoughts and compulsions that keep you stuck - Taking your life back from phobias so work, relationships, and everyday things feel possible again - Managing anxiety and emotional overwhelm (especially if you have ADHD) - Making sense of your neurodivergent experience and validating you
Hi, I'm Charlotte - a High Intensity Therapist, Mental Health Social Worker, and someone who genuinely gets what it's like when anxiety, OCD, or phobias take over your life. Are you stuck in exhausting thought cycles? Avoiding places or situations because the fear feels too big? Maybe you're neurodivergent and finally have words for experiences that have confused you for years, but you're not sure what to do with that understanding? I know what it's like to feel trapped in your own head. It's exhausting, confusing, and sometimes it feels like no one else quite gets what you're going through. I do.

Grief or ongoing stress can leave you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and not quite yourself. You might be holding everything together on the outside while feeling lost or heavy inside. As a former bereavement counsellor with Cruse Bereavement Support and The Royal Oldham Hospital, I have supported many people through deep loss and emotional strain. I won’t just sit and listen - I’ll teach you practical CBT tools and coping strategies so you can understand your reactions, steady your emotions, and become your own therapist, with skills that stay with you long after therapy ends.

My practice is neurodivergent-affirming offering compassionate support for ADHD and autistic individuals.
You might be carrying a lot, maybe more than you’ve ever said out loud. You might be feeling anxious, on edge, or stuck in patterns that don’t make sense. Maybe you’ve been through things like domestic abuse, a difficult upbringing, or the emotional weight that can come with parenthood, and now you’re left wondering how to cope, and where to even start. You don’t need fixing, and you’re not looking for someone to tell you what to do. You just want space. Space to talk things through, feel what you need to feel, and not be judged for it.

I am passionate about working affirmatively with neurodivergent clients and the LGBTQ+ community, as my own personal lived experiences give me insight into how different aspects of identity can impact mental health, daily life and relationships. I am happy to adapt sessions to meet your sensory needs. I offer a non-judgmental approach to help explore what your identity means to you and how you might discover and express more of your authentic self, while developing coping skills if you find this useful. Your identity might not be the focus of our work, but it can be helpful to know that your therapist values these parts of you.

I specialise in helping people who struggle with: Neurodivergence and ADHD (masking, overwhelm, emotional reg etc) Trauma and difficult relationships (including narcissistic dynamics, low self-esteem, people-pleasing) Anxiety, depression, and chronic self-criticism My approach blends somatic therapy, trauma-informed practice , and relational work.
Do you ever feel trapped in your own head, criticised, disconnected, or on high alert? that you’re pretending, failing, or just “wrong”? Maybe you’ve spent years people-pleasing, holding in anger, or carrying shame that was never yours to begin with. Perhaps you’re exhausted from replaying old patterns, yet no matter what you try, they don’t seem to shift. Therapy with me is a chance to stop circling in self-doubt and start discovering who you are beneath it all. Together, we can work to loosen the grip of perfectionism, self-hatred, or fear, and help you move toward a life that feels more grounded, connected, and yours.

I'm a neurodivergent queer non-binary counsellor and I bring this lived experience to my practice. Seeking support can be a big decision, and I want to make this process feel as safe for you as possible. My work is rooted in an anti-oppressive stance, and my practice is always consent-led and trauma-informed. I have worked with a diverse range of clients and issues, and have specialist experience with the LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent communities.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
