Sometimes we can feel unhappy but not know why, or maybe we know why but feel unable to change. We may have physical symptoms but suspect that psychological factors underlie them. We might recognise behaviours in ourselves that may obstruct our capacity to work, or make and maintain relationships. Or we may have doubts about ourselves, an underlying feeling that we are not getting the most from life. Whatever the issue, talking can help make your problems clearer, enabling you to understand and resolve them better.

I work with many clients who identify as neurodivergent (autistic, ADHD and AUDHD), including supporting people to explore a new diagnosis or self-identification.
I can support you if you are struggling to make sense of your identity, your relationships, or distressing changes in your life. I offer integrative humanistic therapy both online and face to face. Get in touch for a free 15 minute introductory call. You may wish to make sense of childhood and how its challenges still affect you. You may need to explore a new understanding of yourself as neuro-divergent. You may be processing questions about gender or sexuality. These thoughts can feel scary to voice to family and friends. I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space to explore these feelings.

I appreciate that people might be coming to therapy with different preconceptions, goals, past experiences, and/or worries. As starting therapy takes a lot of courage, it is important we go at your pace. As such, our first session together will focus on: Getting to know each other to make sure I am the right fit for you, and exploring the difficulties you would like support with. We might also start to develop your goals and think about the type of therapy best suited to meet these. covering other important aspects such as confidentiality, session length, and timings so we know what to expect from each other.

Helping Men Break Free from Overthinking, Anxiety & Relationship Stress, Including Retro Active Jealousy. You replay conversations, second-guess yourself, and feel like you can’t get it right, especially in your relationships. Maybe you're stuck on something your partner said about their past, and no matter how hard you try, the thoughts keep circling back. Your partner says you don’t listen, but you are trying. You’re exhausted from overthinking, walking on eggshells, or stuck in constant arguments. Even when you avoid arguments, things still feel tense.

I’m a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist supporting people aged 14+ to build self-esteem and navigate life with ADHD.
Therapy is a partnership — a space to explore life’s challenges, openly and honestly. Therapy is centred on you and its where important changes can begin. We’ll bring curiosity to your thoughts, feelings and behaviours — and how certain patterns may be keeping you stuck. From there, we’ll work towards lasting changes with more clarity and confidence.

The people who find their way to me are often feeling lost, anxious, or overwhelmed…sometimes facing big life changes or living with the long-term impact of domestic abuse. They might be neurodivergent, parent carers, or just used to putting everyone else first. They’re looking for a space where they don’t have to mask or explain themselves, where they can slow down, feel supported, and start reconnecting with who they really are-with less guilt, more ease, and in their own time.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
