I draw on Gestalt, CBT, and Psychodynamic therapy as different ways of listening to your inner world.
You may be arriving here with hope, uncertainty, or apprehension — all of which are welcome. My role is to offer a calm, supportive space where you can explore your inner world at a pace that feels right for you.
Through open‑ended exploration, we can look at the patterns and beliefs that influence how you relate to yourself and others, supporting you toward greater self‑acceptance and a more grounded way of living. If you’re seeking something more focused, I also offer time‑limited, goal‑oriented therapy to help you strengthen your coping strategies and find clarity around a specific challenge.

Hi I'm Mo, I'm an experienced psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer. We've all got our unique skills and talents and being a good psychotherapist is mine. People describe me as warm, easy to get along with and funny, with a depth of professional knowledge that I use to the advantage of my client in a down to earth way. It's hard to describe exactly what I do and how I do it because after many years of studying, supervising and training other therapists, it just comes naturally. However, my work is evidence based and the evidence shows that working with me will get you results or help you change or accept what can't be changed.

Hi, I’m Jane, a therapist offering both online and face-to-face sessions. My approach is integrative, creative and grounding, drawing from different therapeutic models to suit your individual needs. I believe therapy is a space where you can explore what’s happening beneath the surface — whether that’s anxiety, self-doubt, relationship struggles, burnout, or a sense of feeling lost or disconnected.
My aim is to help you reconnect with yourself and move toward a more balanced, authentic life. Sometimes that means working through painful memories or patterns; other times, it’s about rediscovering joy, purpose, and self-acceptance.

Life problems are most often programmed into and manifested in our relationships with ourselves, with others and the world around us. Our early social networks, our personalities, and our environments interact to influence how we view & experience life in the present day and how we habitually respond to it. How we grew up and our world as adults sometimes unknowingly constrain how we can think, feel, and cope with life. My treatment approach aims to give you freedom to live with more purpose, fulfilment, choice to make new decisions, and self-understanding and mastery moving forward.

Psychodynamic Counsellors
Is psychodynamic therapy evidence-based?
Studies have found psychodynamic therapy to be effective in treating conditions like social anxiety, eating disorders, chronic pain, some personality disorders, and depression; indeed, some studies have found it to be just as effective as CBT or medication. What’s more, several studies have found that the benefits of psychodynamic therapy tend to endure—even grow—long after treatment has ended.
How long does psychodynamic therapy last?
Unlike CBT and other more structured forms of therapy, psychodynamic therapy tends to be open-ended and may not be limited to a set number of sessions. It is common for clients to be in therapy for a year or longer and to see their therapist one to three times a week, though the exact schedule and timeline may vary depending on a client’s challenges and progress. However, brief psychodynamic therapy is available, which tends to be more goal-oriented and typically unfolds over 16 to 30 sessions.
Does psychodynamic therapy work?
Research finds that psychodynamic therapy can help someone manage or reduce symptoms of diagnosable mental health conditions like depression or anxiety. The modality may also offer a range of benefits that are harder to measure but just as valuable—such as increased self-worth or healthier relationships. While no therapy type will work for everyone, research and anecdotal evidence suggest that psychodynamic therapy can be highly effective.
What are the limitations of psychodynamic therapy?
Some meta-analyses have concluded that there is little evidence to suggest that psychodynamic therapy can effectively treat certain mental health conditions such as PTSD, OCD, or psychosis, though it is sometimes used to do so. More broadly, the open-ended, free-association structure of psychodynamic therapy may be frustrating for clients who prefer a more structured, time-limited, or goal-oriented approach.
