Are you finding life a struggle? Do you feel stuck, or disconnected from yourself? I invite you to take a breath and listen in. What do you need right now? When was the last time someone really listened to you with calm, warm acceptance, without judgement, and with curiosity and kindness? I offer a safe, welcoming space where we can explore together the way in which you relate to yourself and others. As a senior student in Core Process Psychotherapy, I use gentle embodied mindfulness and presence to help you relate to yourself in a new way, to come into relationship with the whole of yourself with kindness and curiosity.

Anxiety has a way of shaping more of your life than you'd like, whether it shows up as overthinking, panic, constant doubt, or being on edge all the time. For some people anxiety looks like panic or physical sensations. For others it looks like never feeling good enough, holding back in relationships, going quiet when they would want to speak up, or pushing through everything until they're exhausted. What keeps most people stuck is that they’re waiting to feel ready to do something that they want to do but which feels scary. And more often than not, the feeling comes after the behaviour.

As a warm-hearted, grounded person I bring authenticity to all my therapeutic work. Fundamental to my approach as a therapist is to offer a relationship of equality. Instead of advising you or telling you what to do I create a non-judgmental and trustworthy space to help you explore difficult thoughts, feelings and behaviours. I place emphasis on building a therapeutic relationship, believing it facilitates change to occur and offering myself as a companion accompanying you on your journey, at your own pace, to help you gain clarity and perspective.

I am a somatic therapist working with how memories show up as symptoms, not only in our minds, but also in our bodies.
I hope I can be that therapist for you. I work with a mindful focus on what is happening for you as I am a sensorimotor trained psychotherapist. We would work with the body memories that are present after an overwhelming experience in the past to stabilise and equip you to cope in everyday life.

Do you feel that you're not living your best life? Do you have a desire to let go of habits and tendencies that are somehow tripping you up in your day to day life, but you cannot work out how to release these ways of being? We can have a sense that there is more to life, but it feels difficult to know how to ‘get there’. Sometimes we are fully aware that our trauma governs our behaviour, but that the prospect of processing life’s events feels almost impossible. I offer a non-judgemental, compassionate, warm, empathic holding space where I will meet you where you are in your life and guide you to discover all of who you are.

Hello and Welcome, Life can indeed be difficult at times. Many are struggling with mental health in ways that are no longer manageable. Our past and present hurts, our unprocessed feelings can rise to the surface. We find ourselves thinking, feeling and acting in ways that do not reflect who we want to be. Some of us have Grief, Trauma or Addiction that we just can’t seem to work through. As a Senior Accredited Psychotherapist with a PHD(Hon), Master Degree and EMDR(Accredited), I've seen thousands come through my door, with various presenting issues and undergo genuine transformation, healing and leave with hope for the future.

Clinical hour £80, EMDR/ Somatic Resets 90 minutes £120, 3-Hour Integration Intensives £295
There is a quiet, persistent knowing when a life has become a series of inherited patterns or a cycle of 'penance' that no longer serves. Perhaps traditional paths have felt too rigid, leaving the deeper, soulful layers of your experience untouched. My work is for those seeking to move beyond the surface—those who are ready to un-weave the burdens of the past and reclaim a sense of vital, lived belonging. We look for the light that remains intact beneath the struggle, moving toward a life that feels authentic, expansive, and truly your own

There was a time when I sat where you may be sitting now, wondering whether counselling could help. When I first sought therapy, I was struggling with work pressures, relationships and uncertainty about the future. What I found was a safe space to be heard without judgement, and that experience eventually led me to become a counsellor. Today, I offer a warm, confidential space for clients to explore life's challenges. I am also a practising supervisor. While I work with adults of all ages, I particularly enjoy working with young people, whose resilience and potential give me hope for the future.

I support children and young people experiencing anxiety, low mood, school distress, emotional overwhelm and low self-esteem. Many families I work with have autistic, ADHD or otherwise neurodivergent children who may feel misunderstood, exhausted from masking or struggling with daily demands. Parents often reach out when their child is avoiding school, experiencing meltdowns, withdrawing from activities or finding emotions difficult to manage. I offer a warm, supportive space where young people can better understand themselves, build confidence and develop helpful coping strategies.

I offer a free 20 minute Zoom consultation to explore what brings you to therapy, and whether sessions with me might help.

Somatic Counsellors
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
