My philosophy stems from the belief that our experiences affect us in different ways, potentially impacting our psychological well-being. If left unaddressed, those experiences that impact us can sometimes lead to unhelpful coping patterns. Seeking therapy can help us navigate, process and understand our experiences better. We can then challenge our behavioural patterns that, if left unchecked, may go on to negatively impact important aspects of our lives. The client sits at the very centre of my approach to providing therapeutic care. I believe a positive environment can help initiate and drive positive change.

As children, most of us, are taught how to brush our teeth , wash our hands and tie our laces. However, we are not always taught how to take care of our hearts, how to feed our souls and nurture our body and minds. Moving through life without these skills can leave us feeling overwhelmed, lost, confused and hopeless when faced with life challenges and change. We may find it difficult or not know how to, altogether cope or regulate our emotions and body and practice self-care.These experiences can manifest as interruptions, disconnecting us and leave us feeling stuck, afraid, angry, stressed.

Sometimes life calls for a place to slow down, speak freely, and feel met without judgement. You may be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or emotionally stuck, carrying experiences from earlier in life that continue to shape how you feel, think, or relate to others. You might notice familiar patterns repeating, or emotions that feel difficult to understand or express. You don’t need clarity or answers—just a quiet sense that something within you needs space, care, and understanding. This is a space where you can arrive just as you are, without pressure or expectation.

Starting counselling can feel daunting, and it’s common to wonder whether your concerns are “serious enough.” I believe that if something is affecting your well-being, it matters and deserves care. I offer a calm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly at your own pace. My approach is collaborative and client-centered—I won’t tell you what to do but will support you in exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences and in finding ways forward that feel right for you. I use humanistic principles, which are integrative in nature, incorporating systemic and gestalt modality concepts.

Has life has started to feel heavy, overwhelming, or confusing?… you’re not alone, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. Many of the people I work with come to me because their thoughts won’t slow down, their relationships feel strained, or they’re tired of carrying stress that no one else seems to see. If that sounds familiar, I’m here to support you—gently, respectfully, and at your pace

Extreme unease, feelings of doom, painful mental images, grotesque intrusive thoughts, distressing ideas, an intense need to engage in habits/compulsions, and debilitating panic - these are just a few of the terrible shades in which anxiety manifests in human beings. It has a unique individual character in each person and it is immensely important to address that individuality by understanding the nuances of a person's experience. It is my mission to create the most individualised and tailored approach to treating each client's suffering from anxiety; that is the only truly effective way I know of creating lasting change.

Even though you have what might seem like "a good life," you may still feel a deep sense of emptiness and struggle with overwhelming anxiety and difficult emotions. At times, it might be hard to even identify what you're feeling. These challenges could stem from a difficult childhood, particularly in your relationships with your parents or siblings, affecting how you connect with others today. We refer to these experiences as attachment trauma or childhood emotional neglect. However, these patterns don’t have to define your future; healing and change are possible.

Having worked for many years as a community pharmacist, I’ve seen how often mental health needs are overlooked—especially when cultural or religious backgrounds aren’t fully understood or respected. These experiences led me to train as a counsellor, so I could offer more supportive, inclusive care to those facing emotional challenges.

My goal as a therapist is to be able to provide a safe space to anyone, and model a healthy therapeutic relationship that clients can then emulate in the real world. I work with adults navigating cultural expectations, relationship difficulties, self-harm urges, and life transitions, particularly within South Asian and LGBTQ+ communities. Therapy here focuses on building emotional regulation, clarity, and safer ways to relate to yourself and others. I specialise in working with clients who want culturally attuned therapy that understands family systems, migration stress, and intergenerational dynamics.
