I enjoy working with both young people and adults, and I have often been described by clients as open, honest, and approachable—qualities they have consistently valued. I have a practical, logical mindset and enjoy problem-solving. Having lived in several different countries, I’ve gained valuable insight into the experiences of people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. I approach each person with curiosity and respect, asking questions to genuinely understand them rather than making assumptions. I believe my clients are the true experts in their own lives, and I see my role as guiding them toward a calmer, more balanced place.

I work with parents/carers who feel emotionally overwhelmed, burnt out, or stuck in patterns that feel hard to change. They may be managing anxiety, stress, low mood, or the impact of past experiences while supporting children with emotional or neurodivergent needs. They want understanding, clarity, and practical support not judgement or pressure and are looking for a calm, trauma-informed space to make sense of what’s happening and find a way forward that feels manageable and compassionate. I also support young people and families using dyadic developmental pareneting approach and PACE (Play, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy)

Overwhelmed, shutdown & anxiety, past/ present trauma or neurodivergence. You might feel overwhelmed, shut down, or constantly on edge, and talking about it hasn’t really helped. I support trauma-affected and neurodivergent adults and teens (Autism, ADHD, OCD) who feel anxious, disconnected, or pushed beyond their capacity. Many people come to me after trying therapy and still feeling stuck. We work gently with both mind and body so you can feel calmer, safer, and more like yourself again.

What might your life feel like if you put yourself at the top of your list each day? Is today the day you’ve decided something needs to change—and you’d like someone beside you while you explore what that could look like? Perhaps something has happened that’s left you thinking, “I want something different for my future, but I don’t know where to start.” You don’t have to figure it out alone. I also have a particular interest in supporting people who struggle with sleep, and I offer a safe, compassionate space to work through those challenges.

Our early life experiences may impact on the way we form relationships; struggling to connect with others, and we may even struggle to feel a connection with ourselves. Trauma at a young age, may be the cause of that disconnect. Sometimes leading to the same issues or patterns of behaviour coming up over and over again. Our work will involve engaging with your experiences in a compassionate and curious way. Giving you the space you need to make sense of and begin to understand your own lived experience.

Hi, thanks for being here! Let me tell you about myself: I am a queer cisgender woman, and I use she/her pronouns. I am also neurodivergent and an intersectional feminist. These parts of who I am naturally shape the way I work. My counselling practice is inclusive and rooted in compassion. I aim to offer a space where you will be seen, heard and accepted just as you are. Being queer and neurodivergent myself, I know what it can feel like to exist between worlds, to mask, to question belonging, and to be misunderstood. These experiences have inspired me to focus my practice on LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent individuals.

Feeling stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed & noticing it’s starting to affect the things that matter most? Many people come to therapy because stress, anxiety, or harsh self-criticism is beginning to impact work, relationships, hobbies, or daily life. Modern life doesn’t switch off, constant demands and busyness can leave you feeling consumed, drained, and stuck in patterns that used to help but now keep you suffering. On the outside, you may seem to be coping, yet inside it can feel like your thoughts are running in circles, your energy is low, and your sense of self-worth is affected. If this resonates, you are not alone

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
