Counselling in Wigan
Life can feel overwhelming, leaving you exhausted by external pressures and disconnected from yourself. I offer a calm, consistent, and non-judgmental space to slow down and be heard. Whether you are navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, or a general sense of being lost, I provide a safe environment where you can explore whatever is most present for you. My approach is grounded in empathy and authenticity, respecting that you are the only person who truly knows what it is like to be you. Together, we can process hidden experiences and integrate past conflicts into a more whole sense of self.

You are important. Are you feeling the pressures of life? Perhaps you need support and understanding with the anxieties life often brings. It can be incredibly tough; feeling as though you're on your own, or that those around you don't understand. Maybe you don't want to share your thoughts and feelings with those closest to you... During our session, you will find a relaxed, safe and confidential environment. We can explore together; where you are, discover the changes you would like to make and look at how you can put the foundations into place, to make those changes real. You may have already gone through some significant changes and could be feeling overwhelmed. I can help and encourage you to discover a better sense of well-being. You will be heard, without being judged.

I am a person centred counsellor and also have a qualification in cognitive behavioural therapy. I believe counselling is a journey of self-discovery and personal development that is a continual process both during and after therapy has taken place. Through counselling, a person will learn about themselves in a way they would never intend or maybe expect. As a counsellor I will be alongside you on your therapeutic journey and create a safe space that is respectful and non-biased to allow you to discover yourself and work through any issues that may be troubling you.

Support for those who feel squeezed out of traditional spaces or have fallen through the cracks in the system. It's time to reclaim your life.
I specialise in working with: LGBTQIA+ adults, neurodivergent adults, eating disorders, supporters/families of above.
You may want to come to me to talk about struggles around sexuality, gender or relationships or you may want to talk to me about something else safe in the knowledge that I’m not going to try to pin your struggles down to an aspect of your identity that you’re perfectly comfortable with (as many people have reported with non-queer therapists).

Often clients contact me when other therapy has not helped them in the way they had hoped. This is often due to the complexity of difficulties being layered perhaps in a history of trauma. Distress in the body and mind can be triggered by what appears to be something superficial. This can open up the past or come at a time when our emotional resilience is low so this event has a greater impact than it may have done. We can find ourselves not being able to function in our normal way. Many clients often identify as 'good copers' and those who 'just get on with it'. Perhaps we can't now - this is frightening and can derail us.

Life isn’t always easy. You might feel weighed down by anxiety, low mood, or grief, or maybe you’re just tired from living in a world that doesn’t always meet your needs. If you have ADHD or another neurodivergent experience, you might be exhausted from having to explain yourself or hide parts of who you are. You could also be dealing with chronic illness, a major life change, or just a sense that something needs to change.
No matter what brings you here, this is a place where you can let everything out. You don’t have to explain or justify yourself. You can simply be yourself.
