I imagine if you are reading this, you or someone you know needs help understanding or coping with something that is going on right now. If this is the case I am sorry you or they are finding things difficult. I understand that trying to choose a therapist is also a daunting task. I remember how I felt when seeking therapeutic help. I felt anxious and wondered if I could share things with a complete stranger. Probably the most important thing is that you meet someone you can get on with and build trust. The 15 minuite free call I offer will hopefully provide an opportunity for us to get to know each other a little.

Please note: I'm away without internet access until 28th July. I work with people stuck in patterns they don't fully understand. Maybe you're anxiously trying to get your partner to show up differently, or avoiding speaking up because you're afraid of their response. Perhaps you know what to do but can't seem to do it - you have ideas but struggle to commit. Maybe you know it’s time to move on but can't seem to let things go. Or perhaps you feel anxious, flat, or lonely even when life looks fine. My approach helps you integrate the reality of where you stand in the here and now, so you can finally move.

Counselling is about working together to reduce emotional suffering. You don’t have to face your challenges alone. Whatever your reason for seeking help, counselling can provide a space for us to come into contact with a broader view of yourself. We can use the time to think about how you navigate the world and your relationships with others. Working in a safe, grounded space, we can connect to difficult feelings in a new way. Some of the issues I work with: neurodivergence; anxiety; depression; trauma; loss; addiction; narcissistic abuse; dissociation; authenticity.

I work with a range of issues, most notably anxiety, depression, stress, relationships & sexuality, addiction, coping with life changes and supporting people in finding more direction, purpose & fulfilment in their lives.

What if you could return to finding joy and satisfaction in life? When we're at a low ebb it can be hard to ask for help. We don't want to be a burden or let others down. Sometimes we push away the people we love. Or we turn to drink or drugs. Part of us knows this isn't serving us but we seem to find ourselves doing it anyway. I can guide you through this difficult passage toward calmer waters. From this stillpoint we can discover what moves you by locating your internal compass and learning to trust it. Slowly but surely, you can reorient and navigate toward the things that matter most.

My ideal clients are high-achievers navigating the intersection of complex mental health and the relentless demands of career and family. They aren't just looking for "coping strategies"—they are seeking a way to resolve deep-seated relationship patterns and internal distress without sacrificing their professional momentum. They want to move beyond survival mode toward a life where financial stability and peak performance coexist with genuine personal peace. I help them bridge this gap, turning overwhelming complexity into a streamlined path toward sustained, holistic well-being.

I have had additional training in Transpersonal Psychology, Child and Family Mediation and EMDR.
I am a senior psychologist with over 20 years of experience, registered with the HCPC in the UK and the HPCSA in South Africa. I am EMDR trained. I have also trained as a Child and Family Mediator, which informs my work with couples and families, particularly those navigating separation and co-parenting arrangements. My practice is integrative, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and shape each piece of work around the person I am working with. Frameworks I rely on include solution-focused therapy, Jungian and depth psychology, CBT, EMDR, narrative therapy and transactional analysis.

The transpersonal aspect of psychotherapy deals with a spiritual dimension of the human experience (not necessarily one that is religious) and in this capacity I hope to assist with people undergoing spiritual emergency.
The service I offer is queer-, kink-, ENM-friendly and culturally sensitive. From online culture to counterculture, identity crisis to mood disorder, capitalist realism to extinction anxiety: it is an extremely edgy time to be alive on this planet, and my therapeutic approach does not shy away from this reality.

How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualisation, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilise the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioural therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
