I am a qualified, highly experienced Integrative Psychotherapist and Supervisor, registered with the UKCP since 2006. Since then I have worked in the NHS and private practice, with clients, supervisees and trainees. I am bilingual and offer therapy in both English and Greek. There are times in our life when we experience intense emotional distress, including anxiety, sadness, anger, panic, grief, fear, confusion and resentment. We will work together to make sense of your emotional distress, which may be fuelled by bereavement, trauma, abuse, infertility or life stage. This process can bring relief and the ability to make change.

Counselling is about investing time in yourself and people seek counselling for many different reasons. You may be experiencing unwanted thoughts and feelings that are having a negative impact on your life or have specific issues you wish to talk about that are affecting you. Sometimes we repeat old patterns of behaviour that affect our relationships and every day lives. I have particular experience in childhood trauma, domestic abuse, anxiety, depression, addiction and stress at work. Please give me a call or message for a free phone consultation to discuss how I can help you.

I’m a counsellor and psychotherapist based on the High Street in Watford Town Centre. I work with individuals experiencing many different challenges. These might include depression, anxiety, issues around relationships and sex, questions around identity, issues with confidence and self-esteem, feelings of hopelessness or struggles finding meaning, and everything in-between. As an integrative therapist, my therapeutic practice and thinking are informed by a number of widely recognised approaches. Above all, I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is what makes it such an effective catalyst for change.

I know that it can be daunting reaching out for help and that many people never do reach out, perhaps because they are the strong ones who are supporting everyone else around them so their needs are at the bottom of the long list of things to do and people to look after. Please know that you are important too. If you're feeling troubled, I'm here to listen without judgement and I can help and support you to work towards feeling better. Remember there is always hope. I can be flexible with appointments and if you don't have time to come and see me in person and don't like the idea of zoom/facetime, we can do telephone sessions.

You may be my ideal client if you feel anxious, overwhelmed, low in mood, stuck in repeating relationship patterns, or disconnected from yourself. You might experience panic, tension, overthinking, burnout, or shutdown, and want support that goes deeper than coping strategies. I also work with people diagnosed with chronic fatigue who feel drained, misunderstood, or limited by their symptoms. Together, we aim to help you feel calmer, more grounded, emotionally clearer, and more confident in life and relationships.

As a therapist, I believe that each of us holds a deep knowledge of ourselves. We are, in many ways, our own greatest resource when it comes to understanding and improving our mental health. However, the skills and tools to navigate this process aren’t always something we’re taught, and there are moments in life where we all need support. That’s where I come in—to help guide and empower you on your journey to becoming your own therapist. Together, we’ll work collaboratively to unlock your potential, as there is no greater gift you can give yourself than the ability to care for your mental health with confidence and clarity.

As a South Asian therapist, I am mindful of how culture, family and identity can shape people’s experiences, while welcoming clients from all backgrounds. My ideal client feels stuck in patterns they can't change despite trying to understand themselves. They may struggle with anxiety, overthinking, low confidence or relationship difficulties. Often they are thoughtful and self-aware but feel overwhelmed by emotions or held back by a strong inner critic. They want a space to feel understood while learning practical ways to manage difficult thoughts and feelings so they can feel calmer, more confident and build healthier relationships

Therapy is all about creating meaningful change that will help you to not be held back by mental health difficulties and live your life to the fullest. There's a massive difference between living, and merely existing, and I have been there myself. I feel privileged and excited to be a part of your journey to reach your full potential. This can be a daunting time, as you explore parts of yourself that you haven't acknowledged before, or you have tried previously to work on. I am passionate about therapy as I have seen how life changing it can be and will help you every step of the way to achieve your goals.

Are you or your loved ones struggling with difficulties like depression, anxiety or trauma? Do you have difficulties getting to or staying asleep? Tricky relationships or situations at work or at home can cause stress and anxiety. For your children, the difficulties could be about school and university. I enjoy working with adults and young people who are finding life a little tricky. My 30 year career in the classroom means I understand adolescents and their difficulties. My aim is to help you identify the areas that are difficult and then to find strategies and solutions to overcome these.

I’m Pritesh, a CBT and EMDR therapist helping high-performing people break free from emotional overload, trauma, and silent burnout. I work with professionals who seem “fine” on the outside… but feel quietly overwhelmed, disconnected, or emotionally flat on the inside. I’m not the kind of therapist who just nods and asks, “And how does that make you feel?” Clients often tell me, “You actually get it.” That’s because I believe therapy shouldn’t feel clinical or cold, it should feel like a grounded conversation that actually helps you move forward.

Sleep or Insomnia Counsellors
How effective is treatment for insomnia?
The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.

Are there specific medications for sleep problems?
There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.

Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?
There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.

What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?
Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
