I use evidence-based therapies including CBT, ACT, and CFT.
Living with a long-term health condition, persistent pain, trauma, or the effects of illness or injury can feel exhausting, isolating, and overwhelming. Physical health difficulties often have a significant impact on emotional wellbeing, influencing mood, confidence, relationships, identity, work, and day-to-day functioning.
I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with experience across NHS and private healthcare settings, specialising in the psychological impact and adjustment to long-term health conditions, trauma, injury, and persistent pain.

In my sessions, I use ACT, EMDR, and mindfulness-based approaches to support clients in managing anxiety, strengthening relationships, and building self-confidence.
With over 11 years of clinical experience, I work with Turkish-speaking children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Life can sometimes feel overwhelming with intense stress, anxiety, or relationship difficulties. Living in another country can make it even harder to find a safe space where you can truly express yourself. At this point, having a therapist who speaks your own language can make a meaningful difference.

If you are feeling disconnected and undermined by anxiety or distress, you are wise to be considering therapy. There is solid evidence that psychological treatment can help people move on when their own efforts are not enough. Psychotherapy is confidential, safe, and caring. As a clinical psychologist, I have been trained to work collaboratively with my clients to develop a shared way of thinking about their problems and how they can move forward. My practice is integrative, eclectic and client focused: no one therapy suits every person or every issue.

I believe counselling is where heart and soul connect. I take a holistic approach in counselling to balance physical, mental/emotional and spiritual well-being. When life is difficult and uncomfortable, our instinct is to fight or move away from it. I offer a safe space to explore obstacles and find a way forward so you can let go of what doesn’t serve you anymore. I provide a place for you to be seen, heard and valued. My professional experience outside of therapy encompasses social work, adolescent services, women’s health care, and special educational needs.

Hi, my name’s Ed, I’m a Therapist working online nationally. I work with people experiencing a wide range of difficulties from many different backgrounds, everyone’s story and reason for coming to therapy are different but all are equal. I offer both long and short term individual therapy, generally the length of therapy is something that we would discuss in our first session. In the case of longer term therapy we would frequently review as the therapy progresses to consider what work remains and when might it be appropriate to conclude therapy.

I provide an integrative counselling experience. This means I utilise aspects of several models of therapy to suit individual circumstances. It is unrealistic to expect one model of therapy to work for everyone therefore, having access to several models provides an approach that may be tailored to each individual's needs. Therapy should be a collaborative experience where we work together to find the right solutions. In doing so, I hope to find long-term answers for those tired of the 'revolving door' experience of counselling with symptoms being temporarily relieved but continually recurring.

I specialise in anxiety, (including OCD), perinatal mental health, and trauma leading to attachment/relationship struggles. You might find yourself stuck in a loop of anxiety, or have thoughts that you feel too embarrassed to share. Maybe you have to force yourself out of bed, only to have another day that’s miserable. You might feel you’ve reached a stagnant point in life, feel anxious in your relationships, or maybe you’re going through huge change, like a break up or having a baby. Many people reach out to me to start therapy facing these problems. My aim is that you leave therapy feeling in control, happier, and understood

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Counsellors
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.
What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.
Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.
How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
