Life can become too much sometimes. Maybe you’ve tried to carry on as normal, pushing things down or telling yourself “others have it worse.” But the truth is, if something is hurting you, it matters.
I work with people who want to understand themselves better, especially how their early life or relationships have shaped how they show up in the world today. Perhaps you’ve reached a point where you’re asking, “Why do I feel like this?” or “Why does it keep happening?”—and you’re ready to find out.

How do you prioritise self care when it doesn’t even make it onto the list most days? How do you retain your relationships and emotional connections with the people you love, when you can’t bring yourself to answer the phone for millionth time that day? I’m not a business coach. I’m a Psychotherapist in business, who has done the 4 years of weekly therapy, returns to therapy when I need to screw my head back on, in a world that continues to be organised chaos. People like us don’t go to therapy because we just don’t have the time. So flexibility, patience and straight talking therapists, like me, are necessary, for people like us.

Everyone carries a unique history, and no two experiences of struggle are exactly alike. You may be facing a specific life transition, feeling overwhelmed by a sense of unease, or simply sensing that you are not living as fully as you could be. Whether your challenges feel clear or are still difficult to define, you deserve a space where you are heard without judgment. You are looking for more than just a listener; you want a partner to help you navigate your internal world. Your goal is to move toward a life that feels more authentic, resilient, and balanced, guided by your own pace and needs.

When anxiety and neurodivergence meet adolescence, families can feel lost.
Perhaps your once-confident child is now overwhelmed by school, friendships or everyday expectations. Maybe anxiety has taken hold, routines have become rigid, or you feel like you are constantly walking on eggshells at home.
Many of the families I work with are supporting teenagers who are autistic, ADHD, or exploring whether neurodivergence may be part of the picture. Often anxiety sits alongside this, and what can look like avoidance, shutdown, or refusal is actually a young person whose nervous system has become overwhelmed.

As an Interpersonal Therapist, I have worked with people who, because of a relationship, have slowly lost confidence, have increasingly began to doubt their worth, found themselves second-guessing every decision, and gradually become shadows of their former selves.
If we continuously feel unheard, invalidated, or unloved, it creates profound internal turmoil, shaping our beliefs about who we are and what we deserve.
It is this circumstance that is the cause of symptoms like depression, low self esteem and other self sabotaging actions.
I can help you rebuild self-worth, identify harmful patterns, and develop healthy relationships.

I have a particular interest in working with clients of African and African-Caribbean heritage, especially those with experiences of separation, abandonment, displacement, and spiritual or religious conflict. My work is informed by an awareness of the ongoing systemic barriers these communities often face in accessing mental health support, and the impact this can have on identity, belonging, and wellbeing. At the same time, my intercultural orientation emphasises dialogue across cultures, allowing me to navigate issues of sameness and difference with curiosity and sensitivity.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you’ve spent a long time holding everything together on your own. You’ve done your best to manage, but it’s becoming harder to keep going.
You’re here because you want things to feel different: calmer, clearer, and more in your control. You don’t need to have all the answers before you start; you just need a safe, structured space to make sense of what’s happening and take steady steps forward.

Attachment-based Counsellors
Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?
Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.
What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?
Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.
How long does attachment-based therapy last?
Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioural Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.
Does attachment-based therapy work?
Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
