Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I am a specialist Child and Adolescent CBT, EMDR and BTTI therapist. My background is in Educational Psychology and Attachment Therapy with 17 years experience supporting families. We will work together to build a bespoke treatment plan, I believe we all have the potential for positive wellbeing, I will work with you to uncover what this means to you. I aim to work in the environment that you feel most comfortable in, this can be your school or in clinic. Weekly clinic held in the Chew Valley, Bath and Bristol. I have worked for 29 years as a clinical psychologist in community Child and Adolescent Mental Health services (CAMHS), the last 20 years in Somerset CAMHS offering evidence-based psychological therapy. I have gained additional therapeutic skills and training by becoming an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist 10 years ago. I have a wealth of experience assessing and working therapeutically with children and young people and their families presenting with a range of clinical presentations, e.g., emotional difficulties, anxiety and low mood. I am part of a team qualified to do autism assessments and I offer these for under 18s.

People seek out counselling or psychotherapy for many different reasons. I have over 25 years experience as a psychotherapist and counsellor helping people with a wide range of issues. I offer both long term and time limited work depending on your needs.

If you change nothing, nothing changes but it can be hard to know where to begin. I feel it starts with you being heard and valued. Having your story and your feelings witnessed and validated is extraordinarily powerful and provides the catalyst for change. You will gain a clarity and a sense of perspective as well as an understanding of why you behave in the way you do. Talking to me will feel different from talking to a friend or family member. I will offer you insights and reflections, not opinions or solutions. I am interested in you and your experiences and they matter to me, but as I'm not involved I can remain objective.

I believe that only when we feel truly safe, free of judgment and condemnation can we trust, and trust is the most prized of all human emotions. My approach will enable you to be fully involved in every step of the therapy process and to feel truly engaged in every step you take towards your happiness. I am a Clinical Psychologist with 19 years’ experience in the NHS in secondary care adult mental health services in Wiltshire. I am experienced in providing psychological therapy to individuals, couples and families presenting with a wide range of distressing feelings, including mood problems and the impact of childhood trauma. I have a particular interest in anxiety disorder, perinatal difficulties, relationship difficulties and the impact of trauma and feelings of shame. I have professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the regulatory body for Practitioner Psychologists.
