I offer integrative psychotherapy (IFS, ACT, REBT, CBT, etc.) for adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, addiction/compulsive behaviours & have particular experience working with neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients.
The majority of my clients are neurodivergent and/or queer and want to explore what that means for them with someone who understands. Are you living with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or the impact of past experiences that still affect how safe you feel in relationships? Maybe you struggle with self-esteem, overthinking, trauma responses, or patterns linked to neurodivergence such as burnout or masking? Some clients come questioning their identity, sexuality, or sense of self; others feel stuck using coping behaviours that no longer help. You don’t need a diagnosis, just the sense that something needs understanding.

I offer 1:1 therapy for adults and young people, systemic family support, and parent consultations grounded in trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming practice.
You may feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or carrying more than others can see. Perhaps you or your child are navigating autism, ADHD, trauma, displacement, or life transitions that have shaken your sense of home, identity, or safety. You might be facing anxiety, shutdown, sleep difficulties, relationship strain, or patterns that feel hard to shift. You want clarity, understanding, and a space where your story makes sense — not pathologised, but respected.

I am a clinical psychologist providing short and long-term therapy and autism assessments to children and adults in a private practice Kent.
Therapy approaches are often ‘integrated’ to suit an individual’s needs. Just as each person is different, so are their needs. Therefore, we can begin with an initial consultation meeting to understand together what you are going through and what would be helpful to you. I invite you to contact me by telephone or email to talk and find a convenient time.

I see clients with a range of difficulties across the lifespan who find themselves in psychological distress and are looking for an understanding and solution to their difficulties. These difficulties may have been lifelong or more recently acquired. They may be showing clinical symptoms such as depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress, or OCD as a result. They may want longer term therapy to work on themselves more deeply or they may want short term therapy that is focussed on resolving more specific issues.

As adults we sometimes have better coping mechanisms or ways in which to self help, however children do not always have those skills.
I adapt my therapy style to each individuals needs. With children and Young people I offer talking therapy as well as working with sand, being creative and playing with toys as part of the process.

As a woman, do you put other people's needs above your own and find it difficult to say no? Maybe it's hard to say how you really feel or to ask for what you need? Do you find being nice all the time and avoiding upsetting anyone could be taking it’s toll, especially when you already feel stressed and overwhelmed by the many roles and relationships in your life? I wonder what life would look like if you felt calmer and more confident in yourself? How would it change your personal relationships and your life in general? What would it feel like to be able to voice what it is you want? It's certainly challenging being a woman today.

I didn't become a counsellor because life was easy. I became a counsellor through my own journey with addiction, trauma, ADHD, and never feeling good enough. I know what it’s like to live in fear, hate yourself, to feel angry, sad, lost and overwhelmed. Therapy only started to work when I found someone who really got me—no judgment, just real connection. Now I offer that space to others. I’m down-to-earth, honest, and I do things differently. I am passionate about my job and am very real. If life feels too much, you don’t have to face it alone. I’m here to walk alongside you as you find your way back to yourself, heal and grow.

FAQ - About Adult Counselling
Why should adults see a therapist?
Adults may benefit from therapy for a wide range of reasons—whether it’s managing symptoms of a diagnosed mental health condition like anxiety or depression, navigating life transitions, coping with grief or trauma, or simply seeking support during a challenging life period. Many adults find that therapy helps them build healthier coping skills and better process their emotions, which may lead to better relationships and reduced stress. It’s important to note that, unlike psychiatrists or primary care physicians, therapists do not prescribe psychiatric medication. However, they will often work alongside prescribing clinicians to ensure coordinated care and can provide behavioural therapy as an important addition to psychiatric medication. Mental health concerns can look different in adulthood than in childhood or adolescence, so finding a therapist with expertise working with adult clients is important. Conditions like major depressive disorder (MDD), generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for instance, may present or resurface differently in adulthood than in childhood or adolescence. Adult-specific stressors, such as job strain, caregiving responsibilities, relationship challenges, financial stress, or identity transitions, can also influence the onset and type of symptoms an individual experiences. Adult-focused therapists, therefore, are trained to understand these complexities and tailor care accordingly.

How do I know if a therapist is the right fit for me?
When seeking care, it’s important to understand a therapist’s treatment specialties and their overall approach to treatment . Some therapists focus on common adult conditions like anxiety or depression, while others specialize in areas such as trauma, substance use disorders, or obsessive-compulsive disorder. It’s also important to consider a therapist’s training when seeking care. Therapists in the UK hold various credentials depending on their training and regional requirements. Counsellors and Psychotherapists registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) receive the designation MBACP and their qualifications and practice are overseen by BACP. Many Psychologists registered with the British Psychological Society receive the title of Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol), signifying that they have completed postgraduate training and supervised practice. All of these professionals can provide talk therapy but do not prescribe medication. When searching for a therapist, consider their credentials and training background to ensure a good fit.

How do I find a therapist who sees adults?
Psychology Today’s online directory allows you to search specifically for therapists who work with adults. Each provider profile includes key information such as clinical specialties, therapeutic approaches, licensure, accepted insurance plans, languages spoken, and session fees. Reviewing these details can help you determine whether a particular provider aligns with your needs and can indicate whether they are a good match for adult clients.
