I am a very experienced therapist mainly working with adults with anxiety and depression. I particularly have a special interest in Depression, OCD, and Social anxiety. I have experience of working with chronic pain and staff support. I work with depression using Behavioural Activation and CBT for depression, I am trained in mindfulness and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) which is particularly helpful for people with high levels of shame and self- criticism. I am able to weave third wave approaches in CBT such as ACT and Mindfulness if clients would find this helpful. I am a qualified EMDR Therapist.

I am also a recognised provider through Aviva, Axa, Vitality and WPA.
I wonder what brings you here today? Maybe you are at quarter or midlife and desire change or meaning. Is the pressure and strain of 'doing it on your own' or 'holding it all in' is getting too much? Perhaps your relationships keep following the same painful scripts- maybe another pair of eyes and compassionate presence will help? Compulsions or addictions might offer short term relief but long term shame and anxiety- you might yearn to bring them into honest and caring dialogue? An accredited UKCP Psychotherapist, informed by Relational Psychoanalysis, Jungian Psychology and Attachment Theory but holding these lightly.

You may look like you’re coping well on the outside, but inside feel anxious, exhausted or close to burnout. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning professionals who carry a lot of responsibility, struggle to switch off, and feel stuck in patterns of overthinking, pressure or emotional overload. You might be dealing with anxiety, stress, sleep problems or the lingering impact of past experiences, and want things to feel calmer, clearer and more sustainable again.

You may feel constantly on edge, overwhelmed by emotions, or stuck in patterns that no longer make sense. Perhaps you find yourself overthinking, people-pleasing, or doubting yourself in relationships. You might feel disconnected, exhausted from trying to cope, or unsure why certain situations trigger strong reactions. Often these experiences are linked to earlier trauma, loss, or growing up in an environment where your needs were not consistently met. As a trauma-informed Counselling Psychologist, I offer a calm, supportive space to explore how these experiences continue to shape the way you feel and respond today.

I work with adults who feel stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand, such as ongoing anxiety, behaviours that feel hard to stop, or difficulties around sex, relationships, or shame. Many people I work with sense that something isn’t right, and may even understand why, but feel frustrated that this hasn’t led to real change. My approach is calm and collaborative, focused on understanding what’s driving these patterns and supporting you to think things through and decide what feels right for you. Therapy with me isn’t about judgement or quick fixes, but about moving from understanding towards meaningful change. I’m a qualified

My ideal client is someone who has lived with developmental trauma and long-standing emotional patterns that leave them feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck. They may function well externally but carry a deep sense of instability or loneliness inside. They want to understand themselves, break repetitive relational cycles, and feel real, grounded, and connected. They’re seeking depth, stability, and meaning because survival mode is no longer enough — they’re ready for genuine, lasting change.

When we first meet, my aim is to create a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental space where we can get to know each other at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we’ll explore what has brought you here and think about what might be most helpful for you in moving forward. If you feel we are a good fit to work together, we’ll also discuss what you can expect from me and how our sessions might look.

You may be successful but your worries and tendency to go over worst case scenarios in your head are so hard to control. Perhaps your anxiety is making it difficult for you to sleep well, relax, causing problems in your relationships, or bringing on panic attacks. You may have been coping by trying to block the worries out or avoid the situations that trigger your anxiety, but this is only making it harder for you to be present in your life and relationships the way you want to be. I'm here to help and let you know that you can learn to live life in the moment and learn to trust in your coping skills again.
