You may feel disconnected from your voice — emotionally, creatively, or personally — and unsure how to express what’s happening inside, especially when words feel hard to find. You might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or at a crossroads, navigating questions around identity, belonging, or direction. You’re looking for a space where you don’t have to perform or have everything figured out. A space where you can begin to understand yourself more deeply, heal, and move through what’s holding you back. Over time, this can help you reconnect with clarity, confidence, and your authentic voice.

I have experience in a number of areas but issues that often come into my therapy room are; anxiety - exploring where your anxiety comes from and support managing it; Depression - a safe space for us to explore your feelings and find a way forward; Women's issues - supporting relationship difficulties of all kinds, and life transitions such as motherhood, career change and menopause.
We all struggle from time to time. Whether it’s something that’s going on for you currently or something you’ve potentially always found difficult, I believe we all have the ability to make changes (even if it doesn’t feel like it right now), especially when we are able to do that at a pace that works for us. Most importantly - you really don’t have to do it alone. Whatever your reasons for seeking counselling, exploring your concerns confidentially with a supportive therapist can help to unravel and make sense of your feelings, helping you find your way forward.

I have worked with a range of clients and life experiences ranging from bereavement, to neurodiversity, women's issues (PMDD, menstrual cycles, TTC, miscarriage, perimenopause, menopause, post-partum) and anxiety, depression, OCD and family issues through a trauma-informed lens.
I value creativity, curiosity and compassion and aim to bring those to our work as we collaborate. I want people to feel like they can bring their full selves to our sessions and to create a safe space together that is ultimately client-led. I practise an integrative approach (psychodynamic and person-centred) and also have an interest in transpersonal psychology and Jung’s work on synchronicity and the collective unconscious.

Women's Issues Counsellors
How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.

How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realised.

How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
