Whether it's anxiety, low self-esteem, people pleasing, relationships, stress, or something you can't put into words yet, you don't have to figure it out alone.
I offer a space where you can be yourself without feeling judged or pushed. We'll go at your pace. If practical tools might help I can bring those in, and if you mainly need someone who listens properly, I'm here for that too. I'm honest and kind, and I'll ask questions that help us get to the heart of things without overwhelming you.

I use creative and age-appropriate techniques such as play, art, and storytelling with children, while offering a space for teenagers to talk openly without judgement.

The main concerns I can help with is Trauma, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Self Identity, Emotional Regulation and Relationships
You can get used to almost anything. That is part of the problem. How alone it feels. How long it has been carried without anyone really seeing it. How tiring it is to keep performing fine while something underneath quietly does not feel fine at all. Some things are hard to say out loud. That you are not as okay as you look. That you resent people you love. That part of you checked out a long time ago and has been performing the rest. Most people do not come to therapy because something dramatic happened. They come because they are tired of carrying it alone. That is reason enough. We can start there.

I work with a diverse range of clients with various issues ranging from general anxiety disorder to relationship issues and attachment styles.
Hello and welcome, I’m Andrew. I know how daunting it can be to seek help and so creating a safe and secure space for us to work within a non-judgemental, confidential environment is my primary goal. I strive to tailor the counselling sessions for you as an individual and hence I view our time together as a collaboration in creating a strong working alliance. I also believe that having completed a Masters in Psychological Sciences enables me to bring a greater depth and understanding to the sessions, within a therapeutic framework. I enjoy bringing psycho-education to sessions for greater understanding.

By developing trusting therapeutic relationships I seek to help clients acquire relevant strategies to overcome resistance and motivate expansion.
I believe I have had an unusual but a very fortunate life. My parents worked abroad and I grew up in India and Australia before being sent to boarding school at age 7. This experience taught me a lot about life, being independent and resilient. Despite my struggles with dyslexia and ADHD, I survived, and became a PE teacher, working in state and independent secondary schools before moving into Special Education. In all these positions I also held senior pastoral roles. My background has shown me the importance of building trust, encouraging open honest, communication, and creating, a safe, non-judgemental environment for clients.

I work with individuals who are looking to better understand themselves and their relationships and want to navigate life's challenges with more confidence. Stop white-knuckling it through your life & relationships.
I help you map out the cycles that keep you stuck - like the 'pursuer-distancer' loop - and rewrite scripts that no longer fit. My approach is practical: we build on your existing resources to handle jealousy, anxiety, or conflict. You’ll leave with tools for honest communication and a clearer sense of direction.

Life can be demanding, and at times deeply overwhelming. Stress, anxiety, depression, and relational challenges can make it hard to stay balanced. I believe psychological therapy offers a powerful path toward understanding, healing, and growth. With the right support, people can learn and even master the art of navigating life with resilience. I practise an integrative approach, drawing on multiple evidence‑based therapies to meet each person’s unique needs, especially when working with complexity.

Do you question your future relationship with yourself or others?
Therapy should be as unique as you are, therefore a few therapeutic techniques are tailored to your needs. In Individual therapy, I support adults to explore their struggles impacting their wellbeing and in Couples therapy, I support partners, marital and premarital, to listen through dialogue, concerns affecting their joint commitment.

FAQ - About Couples Therapy
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
