You are here because something in your life does not feel how you want it to or maybe how it used to. There is hope in you that you can feel differently or work out what it is you are looking for, or maybe find yourself again. Maybe you just need somewhere to talk confidentially and to feel understood.

I’m a trauma informed therapist and breathwork practitioner, and bring somatic practices into my work with clients.
My main focus is to build a trusted relationship with my clients, one which allows them to feel able to bring whatever they need to, without fear of judgement. I’ll incorporate simple models, ideas or resources into the work, where it feels relevant to do so because I truly believe understanding how the mind and body works can help the healing process.

Do you feel overwhelmed by your feelings? Do they impact on your confidence and day-to-day life? Or perhaps you have experienced painful losses, abuse or traumatic events that are affecting you? Do you have patterns of behaviour that no longer feel beneficial to you? Sometimes we think and act in certain ways that function to protect and preserve us. These have felt necessary in the past, but are no longer useful and can instead impact negatively on our life.

I offer a caring and non-judgmental relationship in which you can explore the issues, experiences, thoughts and feelings that have brought you to seek help. We will explore the situations and challenges you are facing in your life. Speaking about what is difficult is the beginning of feeling better. Core Process Psychotherapy combines the wisdom and compassion of Buddhism with western approaches to psychology. This compassionate and relational approach emphasises our wholeness, and our inherent resilience and balance - however hidden these qualities may sometimes seem. I work with both individuals and couples.

You might look fine on the outside but feel constantly on edge, overthinking, and unable to switch off. I work with adults stuck in anxiety, burnout, or low mood who are tired of repeating the same patterns. Together we make sense of what’s driving this and build practical ways to feel calmer, clearer, and more in control day to day, while also working on deeper patterns so change lasts. If this resonates, you’re welcome to get in touch for support. I offer a free 15-minute consultation. I respond very quickly.

I get it. I've been there. You seem confident, ambitious and are always there for others. People think you lead a great life but it doesn’t always feel that way. You got through childhood and teenage years and have lots to be grateful for. Despite all of your effort and achievement in life, something doesn't feel quite right. An anxious, nagging feeling sits in your mind and body and makes you uncomfortable in your own skin. You’ve ignored it and carried on but you have many questions. It’s frustrating and exhausting but something has prompted you to find answers. You want to be more relaxed within yourself and feel good enough.

You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in repeating patterns, or unsure why the same difficulties keep resurfacing despite your best efforts. When something feels persistently difficult — whether that’s anxiety, low mood, trauma or relationship strain — it can be hard to know where to begin. I work with children, young people, adults and families to make sense of what may be happening beneath the surface — not just to ease symptoms, but to deepen understanding and support meaningful, lasting change. I have extensive experience supporting those affected by marginalisation, discrimination, exclusion and identity-related challenges.

Along the way we might draw on creative psychological therapies and somatic practices.
Hi I'm Nina, I'm a clinical psychologist trained to a doctoral level with 25 years of experience in the field. I have lead NHS and third sector services and built my own private therapy practice. I work with people who maybe be feeling really overwhelmed, lost, burnt out or old trauma may be re-surfacing or getting in the way of what they want. I really believe we all need support at times and together we will navigate through it. My approach supports people to gain clarity and perspective in order to take new actions towards what matters. I’ve been described as making space for both safety and possibility.

You love God, but something still feels heavy. You struggle with self-doubt, shame, or a quiet sense of “never enough.” Relationships feel anxious or distant, and you long to feel secure with people and with God. Perhaps you serve faithfully yet feel disconnected inside. You want to trust more freely, rest without guilt, and live from a place of rooted worth rather than survival. You’re not broken — you’re carrying patterns shaped by early experiences, and you’re ready for healing.

It draws from a multitude of approaches – somatic, psychodynamic, existential, trauma-based, and humanistic, to name a few – with the intention to meet, hold and transform what most needs our attention.
Welcome. This is a space for you where your voice matters and deserves to be heard. The core of my work is Integrative Psychotherapy (Mindfulness-based) in a one-to-one setting from Shoreditch, Hackney Central and Highbury Fields. Therapy can be thought of as a return home to ourselves. However the journey is not an instant fix. It is more helpful to think of it as a process of uncovering our histories, current struggles, how we get our needs met, and the ways we compromise ourselves. Through increased awareness, new possibilities and ways of being naturally emerge. In turn, our person finds itself more at home in life.

Gestalt Therapy is an Existential, Humanistic, Relational and Somatic (body) approach.
I offer therapeutic counselling to individuals (18+) and couples in search of a more fulfilling lived experience. You may have been struggling for a prolonged period of time before deciding to seek help – experiencing overwhelm, a sense of panic, doubting certain decisions, facing new and stressful circumstances, coping with illness or loss... Therapy is a unique form of support focusing not on solving problems, but rather engaging your inner resources to face challenging life circumstances in ways that feel choiceful.

I work as an integrative therapist, using branches of therapy such as CBT and somatic (awareness of the link between the body and the mind) approaches, ensuring that my work with you is tailored to your specific needs.
I am a person-centred, trauma-informed counsellor with specialist experience supporting survivors of sexual assault and abuse, including those whose experiences occurred in childhood and adulthood. I also work with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and the lasting effects of adverse childhood experiences, alongside challenges that can arise from living as an LGBTQIA+ person in a heteronormative world. I offer a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace, develop greater self-understanding, and build a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

Hi, I'm Mary (she/her), I'm passionate about supporting people with anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and relationship issues. Is your mind constantly racing, worrying whether you said or did the right thing? Wondering if people like you? Did you make the right decision? Do you find yourself beating yourself up when you feel like you've got something wrong and find it hard to let go of things. Maybe you find it hard to stand up for yourself. Life can be so overwhelming sometimes we can feel like we don't want to be here. It's exhausting isn't it! I'm guessing you're here because you're fed up and want something to change. I can help you.

This world may be on fire and often totally unfair, but if we have the access to a good-enough therapeutic alliance, we may start to build the resilience needed to live in this world, resisting and changing what we need as we go. Therapy isn’t an easy choice, but then neither is suffering. Suffering may not be a choice, but once there is more awareness of what is not working in our thinking and in our lives, we may start to realise we hold the potency for change and growth to happen. Therapy is a brave place where we can perhaps get more in touch with the roots of our suffering so we can work towards a more harmonious way of being

I value creativity, curiosity and compassion and aim to bring those to our work as we collaborate. I want people to feel like they can bring their full selves to our sessions and to create a safe space together that is ultimately client-led. I practise an integrative approach (psychodynamic and person-centred) and also have an interest in transpersonal psychology and Jung’s work on synchronicity and the collective unconscious.

You may be coming to therapy with a clear difficulty - perhaps anxiety, low mood, loss, relationship problems or a significant change in your life. Or things may appear successful from the outside while privately you feel disconnected, dissatisfied or stuck in patterns that are difficult to understand. You may want something to change without yet knowing what that change should be or where to start.

Somatic Counsellors
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
