I am a MSc graduate psychologist with over 3 years of applied clinical experience. I have worked with a breadth of clients who have had varying presentations of both physical and mental health difficulties. My specialist areas are inclusive of but not limited to working with anxiety, OCD and suicidal ideation. From my work across both in and outpatient settings, I am very aware of how overwhelming coming to therapy can be. As a result I always aim to work with an individualised approach, to ensure you feel that your needs are considered throughout. This provides a safe and supportive environment, where your feedback is encouraged.

If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, low mood, low self-esteem, bereavement, childhood abuse, shame, anger, low self-esteem, narcissistic injuries, obsessive -compulsive disorder ( OCD ), body dysmorphia, relational trauma created through family dynamics, I am here, as finding the right person to work with is an important step in your journey.
My ethos, a commitment to create a confidential, safe space, making room for painful feelings where you can be heard and understood. It is by exploring the depths of your thoughts and feelings and allowing you to speak the unspoken, without being judged. Whilst therapeutic approaches vary, the relationship between us, is ultimately the key to therapeutic change. I am a Psychodynamic Counsellor registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I love to work with people who are trying to find their way: especially in young adulthood, after a major life change, or looking both backwards and forwards in mid-life. I also believe therapy can be vital if you want to make an impact with your life, to understand yourself and the kind of contribution you have to give the world. I think we're all trying to move forward in life: sometimes to do that you've got to find out where you are right now.

I provide support for a range of difficulties affecting the wellbeing and mental health of children and families, including dealing with life changes (e.g. parental separation), low mood, anxiety, behavioural difficulties, panic attacks, emotionally-based school avoidance, amongst others. I also provide support for perinatal issues (pre/post-natal anxiety, low mood, birth trauma) in addition to early years challenges (tantrums, sleep, attachment and bonding difficulties). I specialise in providing parent and family support. I strongly believe in the importance of intervening early before challenges have chance to develop further.

True compassion isn`t trying to get you to get rid of your feelings. True compassion feels your feelings with you. True compassion has a sense of wanting to relieve your suffering, but by sitting with it, not by wiping it away. True compassion validates every ounce of pain you are in and gives you hope that it can be soothed. I want to give you hope. Hope to dream, hope to have a better life. Hope for a new you. Because you deserve it.

I am a warm, friendly person and a good listener. I have a very empathic understanding and vast experiences from my own personal life. This has shaped me to be the person I am today. Things from our childhoods and certain traumas, can have us acting out behaviours that can be damaging to us. I have experience working with relationship breakdowns, alcohol addiction, depression, anxiety and self harm. I have worked with adolescents and adults of all disabilities. I've worked a great deal with confidence building and low self-esteem. I can help you recognise these behaviours and what triggers them.

I work with individuals, couples and families that need to face a trauma, a loss, problems of anxiety, depression, fears or relational problems (such as couple conflict, emotional or behavioral problem in a child, alimentary disorder, relational closure in an adolescent). Working together will help everyone finding new energy to change and when everyone is involved in a transformation, it will be stronger and lasting. As an Italian psychotherapist I work in Italian and in English with the foreign community in UK. Sharing the experience of migration always helps to face a new life in a different country.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Counsellors
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder in which people have unwanted and repeated thoughts, feelings, ideas, sensations (obsessions), or behaviours that make them feel driven to do something (compulsions). It affects children, kids, teens and adults. Often the person carries out the behaviours to get rid of the obsessive thoughts, but this only provides temporary relief. Not performing the obsessive rituals can cause great anxiety. A person's level of OCD can be anywhere from mild to severe, but if severe and left untreated, it can destroy a person's capacity to function at work, at school or even to lead a comfortable existence in the home.
