I believe therapy is about connection, not quick fixes, and that together we can work towards the change you want to see in your life.
Alongside my psychotherapy work, I have experience training people in mental health, resilience, and general health and wellbeing. This means I bring both depth and practicality, helping you process difficult emotions while also sharing tools you can use in daily life. My approach is flexible, collaborative, and always centred on your needs.

I provide trauma-informed therapy for people experiencing anxiety, burnout and the lasting impact of difficult life experiences.
I am registered with HCPC and EMDR Association UK. I trained with one of the UK’s top EMDR trainers. With 20+ years experience in adult mental health across NHS settings, from inpatient units to community teams. I’m trained in several NICE-recommended therapies and have also worked as a high intensity psychological therapist. I’m also a mum to two teenagers, including one with severe learning disabilities, Autism and ADHD, so I understand burnout, navigating services, and supporting complex needs. Therapy offers a space to feel understood, make sense of what you’ve been through, and begin to feel safer and more like yourself.

I have a degree in psychology, a diploma in counselling, currently studying for a Masters degree in existential coaching
I am an experienced Counsellor, Psychotherapist and clinical Supervisor. The constant in my approach is to focus upon my client’s needs, their issues, and difficulties, to remain open and empathic to how they experience their lives. In this way I hope to be able to build trust with my clients to support them in their journey in counselling and supervision. Clients’ needs are different and unique so it is important to understand their world view, their fears, hopes, and aspirations.

You have done your utmost to push it all out of your mind and just get on with your life.
You really want help, but what if no one believes you, what if no one can help? You feel like giving up, overwhelmed and hopeless, terrified that this is how life will always be. But this does not have to be the case. I have been where you are, I know what it feels like. With my training and knowledge I have helped myself overcome these same difficulties.

I work integratively, blending counselling and embodiment coaching — tailoring the approach entirely to you.
My ideal clients are executives, senior professionals and high achievers who have become so focused on performing well for others that they've lost touch with what they need for themselves. They are often intelligent, self-aware and highly capable — yet find themselves stuck, depleted or quietly anxious in ways they can't easily explain to the people around them. They may be managing teams, navigating high-stakes decisions, or sustaining a demanding lifestyle — while privately wondering how long they can keep going at this pace. The drive that once made them effective has quietly eroded the things that sustain them: relationships, i

In my 20 years working as a psychologist I have helped people from many walks of life including teachers, parents, academics, scientists, other psychologists and therapists.
I help people with resilience and wellbeing, as they move out of patterns of behaviour or situations that might feel stuck or unrewarding into lives that are compassionate, intentional and fulfilling. Using approaches from Acceptance and Commitment Coaching and Positive Psychology I help them set meaningful goals and take courageous action towards these.

You will also learn some helpful techniques which you can apply to all aspects of your life, without the ongoing need of a therapist.
I've been counselling since 1989, and have extensive experience of working with sexual abuse and trauma, parenting and attachment difficulties, identity and relationship issues, depression and anxiety, bereavement and loss. I don’t claim to be an ‘expert’ in any of these areas because everyone's response is different and what matters is you and your own unique experience of these difficulties. I am committed to collaborating with you to find the resilient, hopeful part of yourself that becomes expert in managing your challenges and is motivated by the smallest signs of progress towards your preferred future.

Life, with its unpredictable turns, presents challenges that can sometimes feel insurmountable.
As an Integrative Therapist, I work closely with your past, bringing what may be unconscious to you, and making it more understandable. A process of "joining the dots" to where you are today. I include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in practice to help manage behaviour by helping my clients challenge and modify irrational beliefs and distorted thinking.

Life Coaching Counsellors
What can I expect from life coaching?
Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?
Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?
Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?
Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
