Hi, I'm Julie, and I am passionate about working with people who have experienced abuse or trauma, whether it be sexual, physical or emotional. When we experience trauma we lose part of who we truly are because of the after effects, such as anxiety, depression, panic attacks, nervous system disregulation, flashbacks and dissociation (when we feel distanced from our emotions or ‘spaced out’, as if we’re living on autopilot). I love helping people rediscover who they really are by creating an environment in which they feel safe and completely accepted. I don't analyse you but with careful listening will know what we need to work on.

Hi, I'm Kim — a BABCP-accredited CBT therapist and EMDR practitioner with 16 years of NHS primary care experience.
I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, and low self-esteem. What I love most about this work is that there's no one-size-fits-all — every person brings their own story, and I shape my approach around yours.
Using CBT, we'll get practical: spotting the patterns keeping you stuck and building real strategies to shift them; e.g. ERP is particularly effective for OCD — gradually and safely exposing you to fears while resisting the urge to respond with compulsions, helping to break the cycle.

Maybe you’ve tried therapy - the worksheets, the apps, the coping tools that promised to help. If you’re neurodivergent or living with trauma, it’s no surprise those didn’t stick; survival mode needs more than a strategy. You might be here after a diagnosis, burnout, loss, or just years of masking that finally caught up with you. Either way, we start where you are - not where you think you’re “supposed” to be.

As a play therapist with a background in teaching and a Master’s degree in Play Therapy, I am deeply committed to supporting the emotional wellbeing of children and young people through therapeutic play and creative expression. I believe in the transformative power of play as a natural, intuitive medium through which children can safely explore and express their inner worlds, particularly those who have experienced trauma or adversity. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with neurodivergent children and young people, many of whom face challenges in traditional school settings.

I believe every person’s experience is valid and deserving of care. You might come to counselling feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of why things feel heavy, or you may arrive wanting to gently explore past experiences, trauma, or long-held patterns that no longer serve you. You may have clear reasons for seeking support, or you may simply know that something doesn’t feel right and want a space to explore that without pressure or judgment. My role is to offer a safe, compassionate, and accepting space that adapts to what you need, where you are met as you are, at your own pace.
