My passion is supporting children (5+), teens and young adults who may be struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, family changes, or difficulties at school.
Whatever challenges your child or teenager may be facing, we will work together to explore their feelings in a safe and supportive way. I use creative and age-appropriate techniques such as play, art, and storytelling with children, while offering a space for teenagers to talk openly without judgement.

I specialise in working with anxiety disorders and depression and I’m passionate about helping people move toward freedom, clarity, and greater fulfilment in their lives.
Therapy is a journey of self-discovery — one that unfolds in the presence of another person who truly listens and supports you. As your therapist, my priority is to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and accepted. This foundation of trust is where meaningful change begins. In our sessions, we’ll work with the whole of who you are — your experiences, your relationships, your patterns, and your strengths. I draw on evidence-based approaches that I believe in deeply, but I also know that therapy is only effective when it’s tailored to you. You are a unique individual, and I’m committed to making therapy a personalised experience

Together, we’ll explore the patterns beneath low self-esteem, anxiety, difficult family dynamics, burnout, or lack of self-trust, and help you build the clarity, self-acceptance and confidence you need in order to make choices that feel more like your own
Hello, I’m Claire. I often work with people who learned how to tune into the emotions and needs of the people around them before they learned how to attune to themselves. They want to break the patterns and cycles that keep causing them harm, and I want to help them do exactly that. We all have blind spots and it’s okay to need some help figuring them out. I don’t do 'quick fixes', but I will help you find ways to make life, right now, feel more manageable, so that we can gently begin to understand the root causes of what has been making life feel so hard.

Welcome. My name is Terina. It is often hard to make a first step toward getting the support you might need and you may wonder how counselling/therapy can help. I think of it as a bit like a 'walk through a forest' - one we are agreeing to go on together. We don't yet know what the experience will be like, or quite where it will take us, as it is a new experience for both of us. The important thing is, we do this walk together. This is an important relationship and what we CAN know, is that I will offer you consistency, support, empathy and honesty and the space to explore anything that matters to you, without judgement.

Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed or exhausted by anxiety, OCD, panic, trauma, PTSD, health anxiety, low mood or stress.
I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and EMDR. These therapies can work well together or individually. Both are practical treatments for addressing mental health issues but work differently to each other. CBT is a skills-based approach, offering specific strategies, whereas EMDR processes trauma to help resolve current symptoms and relieve distress.

Many people contact me when anxiety or depression start to take over — constant worry, overthinking, feeling on edge, struggling to switch off, or feeling overwhelmed by everyday life.
I work in person from Leicestershire, Warwickshire and online across the UK and internationally, supporting people who want to reduce anxiety, feel more grounded, and confident. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a cornerstone of my approach. It’s an evidence-based therapy recommended by the NHS as the primary therapy for treating anxiety and depression.

I have experience working with a range of issues including low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, stress and grief, but whatever the issue the approach is the same: acceptance, respect and empathy.
It is impossible for any of us to escape the ever increasing challenges in our lives and when things get on top of us, whatever the cause it can help to talk to someone not directly involved in your day to day life. Counselling is somewhere for you to be heard and offers a confidential and private space where you can think about and discuss your thoughts, emotions, events and relationships allowing you to work through these and make sense of your choices. Talking with a professional gives you the opportunity to explore challenging issues and obtain coping strategies for the future.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioural therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioural Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
