Hi, I’m Krishna, and I’m so glad you’re here. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but it’s also a powerful act of self-care. As an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, I’m dedicated to helping you navigate life’s challenges, break free from unhelpful patterns, and build a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and true to you. CBT is an effective, evidence-based approach that helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. It’s not just about talking—it’s about learning, practicing, and growing.

You may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by low mood, or stuck in cycles of self-doubt and overthinking. Perhaps you’ve tried to “keep it together” for everyone else while quietly struggling inside. You want to feel calm, confident, and more like yourself again — to find balance, rebuild motivation, and move through life with greater ease and clarity.

It takes a great deal of strength to seek help and to begin to work through personal difficulties. I take great care to provide a supportive and confidential space, in which I can listen to your concerns without judgment, and work with you to help you to overcome your difficulties. Perhaps you are looking for support in dealing with a specific mental health concern like anxiety or depression, or perhaps you are looking for support in finding a greater sense of balance in your life or in creating a richer, more meaningful life for yourself.

I have vast experience of supporting young people (over 18s), adults, and older adults with low mood (including Low Self Esteem), difficulties related to anxiety (Social anxiety, Generalised Anxiety, OCD) as well as Phobias (for example, fear of flying, fear of dentists).
So many of us struggle in silence with our anxieties and worries- which can have a profound impact on our physical and emotional wellbeing. You may not be feeling like your usual self or may have lost interest in things you usually enjoy. The burden of your responsibilities or general day to day life may have become overwhelming. However, with the support of therapy, we can work together to fully understand what you are experiencing, identify triggers and stressors that we can work on, and implement strategies to help you feel better.

I am experienced Psychologist, Counsellor and Psychotherapist, fully registered and acccredited by UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy). As we all know, life is certainly a journey that is not always easy to travel on alone. By coming here you've taken the first step and I know it's not easy. There are many reasons why you might have started looking for counselling. Sometimes we can feel uncomfortable but don't understand it or struggle to describe it, life can become overwhelming, or we are confused, and we don't know which way to turn. Perhaps you are facing life changes or decisions and don't know which path to take.

Alongside my Master's in the Psychodynamic model, I also hold additional qualifications in CBT, REBT, OCD Awareness (Diploma), Complex Trauma Training, and Level 3 Play Therapy.
Hi, I’m Jodi. I’m a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist blending CBT, REBT, Art Therapy, neuroscience, and trauma-informed practice. I focus on why therapy can sometimes feel frustrating, pointless, or even absurd—like being asked “How does that make you feel?” for the hundredth time, being told to focus on your breathing when all you want to do is facepalm, or hearing “Name five things you can see” and wondering if screaming at your therapist is actually an acceptable response. The truth is, until you understand what’s really happening in your brain and body—and why certain strategies could help—most techniques just don’t stick.

The people I work with tend to be struggling with issues such as low mood, anxiety (including OCD/phobias) and self-harm.
I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and third wave CBT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Compassion Focused Therapy) approaches in my clinical work which I have found to be particularly helpful for young people. I also have experience using ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) for difficulties such as OCD and emetophobia (fear of sick).

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Counsellors

How long does OCD treatment take?

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?

Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?

Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine, fluoxetine, and sertraline, among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?

Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
