I explore women's issues in the context of their life, helping them be heard and find their own narrative and voice. My specialist area is neuro-divergence and have developed a coaching model to work with people whose ADHD or ASD make balancing the demands of life challenging. I also work with adults and students training or working in the NHS, doctors, nurses and other front line professionals. These sessions may include reflective practice, recovering from trauma and stress related issues.

The transpersonal aspect of psychotherapy deals with a spiritual dimension of the human experience (not necessarily one that is religious) and in this capacity I hope to assist with people undergoing spiritual emergency.
The service I offer is queer-, kink-, ENM-friendly and culturally sensitive. From online culture to counterculture, identity crisis to mood disorder, capitalist realism to extinction anxiety: it is an extremely edgy time to be alive on this planet, and my therapeutic approach does not shy away from this reality.

My practice is integrative, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and shape each piece of work around the person I am working with. Frameworks I rely on include solution-focused therapy, Jungian and depth psychology, CBT, EMDR, narrative therapy and transactional analysis.

I support patients who are experiencing significant life transitions, such as cancer, the death of a loved one, and/or divorce. I am a clinical psychologist and Buddhist chaplain. Many patients describe feeling alone despite having the support of friends and family members. This is not uncommon. Therapy and support groups provide the opportunity to speak with others who are undergoing similiar experiences. I work with individuals of all ethnicities and faith traditions, including those who do not identify as spiritual or religious.

You're going through a major life change and feeling disconnected from yourself. Maybe you're dealing with anxiety, depression, or relationship struggles, but you sense there's something deeper going on. You're tired of just managing symptoms - you want to understand yourself better and make real changes. You're willing to look honestly at difficult feelings and patterns, even when it's uncomfortable. You might be questioning your purpose, dealing with a big transition, or trying to make sense of an experience that's changed how you see yourself.

My ideal client is someone who has lived with developmental trauma and long-standing emotional patterns that leave them feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck. They may function well externally but carry a deep sense of instability or loneliness inside. They want to understand themselves, break repetitive relational cycles, and feel real, grounded, and connected. They’re seeking depth, stability, and meaning because survival mode is no longer enough — they’re ready for genuine, lasting change.

Transpersonal Counsellors
How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualisation, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilise the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioural therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
