I am a Wellbeing Coach, so no matter what your circumstances, I will help you begin to cope better, start the process of building the life that you want and notice yourself making progress.
I am a Solution Focused Specialist, and have practiced in this way since 2004. I also have a Master's Degree in this approach (2008). The focus is predominantly on the future that you want, and signs of this happening. Consequently, the conversation is different from an attempt to understand, and opens possibilities not previously considered

I explore women's issues in the context of their life, helping them be heard and find their own narrative and voice.
As an experienced counsellor and coach my goal is to create a safe space in which the client can talk openly and honestly, making space for healing but also for change. My approach integrates a person centred model with more active processes of change, solution based interventions and strategies to create autonomy and empowerment in the client's life.

Art can help express feelings and support mindfulness, taking a 'bottom-up' approach, combined with talking therapy can offer a new way to approach life's challenges.
Welcome! Whether you're facing a specific event, tough relationship, or a sense of being stuck, your reasons for seeking help are valid. You might be navigating grief, anxiety, trauma, or a recent neurodivergence diagnosis, looking for a space where you're truly heard. I see therapy as a collaborative journey rooted in trust—where you're met as a whole, unique person—and where understanding, self-compassion, and healing can grow. As an integrative art psychotherapist, my approach is informed by multiple therapeutic theories and shaped by clinical and lived experience.

I understand the difficulties that can arise following experiences of personal trauma, life transition periods or life in general.
As an integrative and person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist, I put the emphasis on our working together; collaboratively exploring what you want from your therapy time. The advantage of working interactively means that I use tools from different therapeutic approaches so that therapy is flexible and tailored specifically to you.

I have particular experience supporting people through perimenopause and menopause, anxiety, illness (including cancer), grief and loss (including miscarriage), trauma, stress, and life transitions.
Hi, I’m Anne. It's nice to meet you. I’m an Integrative Counsellor with over 25 years’ experience supporting people in wellbeing and development roles across higher education, the NHS and in community settings. Everyone’s situation is unique, and no list can ever capture all the reasons someone might come to counselling. The areas below reflect some of the experiences I often support people with. You don’t need to fit neatly into them. If you’re feeling stuck, weighed down, or unsure, we can explore things together and find a way forward that feels right for you.

I help people clinical issues such as depression, anxiety and phobias, as well as life difficulties and transitions.
I am Clinical Psychologist working with adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, shut down, or caught in patterns they don’t fully understand. Many have experienced trauma or disruption and feel disconnected from themselves or their direction. People often come when something no longer feels sustainable. Together, we slow things down and make sense of what’s happening, focusing on strengths as well as difficulties. From there, we build practical resilience, developing identity, values, emotional regulation, and relationships, so people can move forward with greater clarity, balance, and a steadier sense of calm.

If you are looking for counselling services that specialise in neurodiversity, additional needs and siblings support, reach out today. Young people deserve to be heard, understood and supported on their journey to wellbeing. Parenting is challenging in the best of circumstances—even neurotypical children have immature self-regulation. But parenting a neurodivergent child is rewarding but also can be a different category of challenges. Having lived experience as a parent, a young person's unhappiness permeates to the whole family. Counselling not only supports your young person but also the wellbeing of the whole family too.

I help strong, capable, and dependable individuals - the ones everyone relies on - who carry their own needs and everyone else’s on their shoulders. From the outside they appear resilient and in control, but inside they are often exhausted. I offer a space where they no longer have to “handle it” alone.

Life Coaching Counsellors
What can I expect from life coaching?
Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?
Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?
Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?
Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
