We all want to be the best versions of ourselves but sometimes we need support to get through difficult life experiences. Such times can take us away from living the way we truly want to live. In individual sessions, we can share a calm and confidential space where exploring challenges can lead to a deeper understanding of ourselves and our relationships. Together, we can find ways to make the changes that will impact life going forward. With couples, we will help to shift from unhelpful patterns of poor communication and entrenched behaviours, to create emotional safety and move towards mutual trust & understanding.

You may feel stuck in painful relationship patterns; repeating conflicts, struggling with trust, or feeling emotionally disconnected. Perhaps past trauma shapes how you see yourself or relate to others, leaving you anxious, shut down, or overwhelmed. You may want to break free from these cycles, build healthier relationships, or process difficult memories. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your relationship, heal from past wounds, or better understand yourself, you want a therapist who offers practical strategies, deep insight, and a supportive space for lasting change.

We are recognised by Bupa, Axa and Aviva health insurance.
We are Leanne Alston and Sally Willan, experienced therapists trained in CBT, EMDR, couples therapy and sports psychology. We work with adults (18+) who want practical, evidence-based support to feel stronger and steadier. We value movement, time outdoors and connection with nature as foundations for good mental health. Many people we see appear to cope on the surface but feel anxious, flat or overwhelmed underneath. Work, relationships or family pressures can feel relentless. Therapy focuses on honest conversations, useful tools and small changes that help you feel clearer, more in control and more like yourself again.

I am an integrative psychotherapist and work with individuals aged 18+ for both short-term and open-ended therapy. People seek therapy for different reasons. Often it is because they feel stuck, stressed, overwhelmed or hurt. You might be struggling with a relationship, coping with stress or hoping to change a behaviour that is not working for you. When things are difficult, a psychotherapist can support you and help you to grow in whichever way is right for you. I won't tell you what to do, but I will support you to find a way forward for yourself. I am accredited by the UKCP and a member of the BACP.

Hello - I'm Claire, an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist. Mental health difficulties can be viewed as responses to painful experiences in life that any of us might go through – sometimes these are large events in our lives, sometimes they are a build-up of ‘smaller’ difficulties. For this reason, I work with people experiencing a wide range of symptoms and diagnoses (for example: anxiety, OCD, depression, psychosis, addiction, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, emotional eating, etc) - because our work will help resolve the root cause of the symptoms.

My role, as a psychodynamic therapist, is to provide an environment that is confidential and safe. This is why I do what I do. I provide an outside perspective to help you understand how your past influences present behaviours; your use of defences to avoid reality and awareness of how unconscious reoccurrence operates in your life. With your assistance my aim is to develop different strategies in making better choices to existing problems and explore beliefs of past feelings, memories. This doesn’t mean all your life is broken, but certain grey areas compromising the relationships you’re having with self and others.

I am a provider for Bupa; if you have health insurance with Bupa, please check with them first to find out how many sessions you are entitled to and what your membership number is.
You might be holding it together all day - getting things done, showing up for others, and then falling apart when you finally stop. Your body stays tense, your mind won’t switch off, and sleep doesn’t bring the rest you need. You may feel jumpy, on edge, or disconnected from yourself and the people around you, without always knowing why. I offer trauma-informed counselling and EMDR in Sheffield for adults experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, emotional exhaustion, and the lasting impact of difficult or overwhelming experiences.
