Perhaps you struggle with anxiety, self-doubt, low self-esteem, loss, or relationship patterns that leave you feeling unseen or not quite enough.
Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and deeply human. I bring my authentic self into the room and understand how difficult it can feel to reach out for support. You do not need to have the right words or know where to begin — we simply start from wherever you are. And whatever you do bring will be met with warmth, acceptance and understanding.

Thank you very much for visiting my page. I am a Person Centred counsellor based in Seaford and I rent a room in the town centre. I aim to offer a safe place which is free of judgement and a positive atmosphere where we can explore whatever you may wish to bring to each session. In return I’ll also offer honesty and transparency to help build our relationship. I endeavour to work with you as an individual and not just on an individual problem. A personal favourite analogy of mine is “I will attempt to put your shoes on and walk with you but I won’t do up the laces”.

You might be struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, or a sense of being lost, unsure who you really are or what you want in life.
I believe we all have a natural capacity for love, creativity and fulfilment, but that difficult experiences, emotional wounds and long-standing patterns can leave us feeling blocked, fragmented or disconnected from who we really are. I offer a space to gently explore these patterns, heal what needs healing, and reconnect with your own inner resources

You may find yourself repeating painful relationship patterns, struggling to trust others, feeling emotionally overwhelmed, or questioning your worth in close relationships. Perhaps you have experienced relationships that left you feeling unseen, unsafe, or deeply hurt. Even when life appears “ok” on the outside, relational trauma can quietly shape how you connect, cope, and view yourself. I specialise in working with adults affected by relational trauma, attachment wounds, and the lasting emotional impact of difficult or inconsistent relationships.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.
What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioural therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioural Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.
How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.
How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
