Do you find yourself constantly putting everyone else first, and resenting it inside? Struggling with a phobia that's taking over your life? Exhausted by complicated family dynamics, or confidence that keeps letting you down? I work with people who feel like that. I help them to figure out what's going on for them, to feel more grounded, less stuck, and to feel more like themselves again (after we've figured out who that is, sometimes!) I aim to be warm as well as direct. I won't just let you talk endlessly - I'll challenge you. In turn, you can say whatever you need to, however you need to. I'm here for it.

Do you feel lost, anxious, or unsure of who you are anymore? Perhaps you struggle with low self-worth, overthink things, or find yourself constantly putting others’ needs before your own. You may carry difficult experiences from childhood or adulthood that still shape how you see yourself and relate to others. I offer a compassionate, trauma-informed space where you can explore your story at your own pace. Together, we can gently work on rebuilding your confidence, understanding the roots of self-doubt, and helping you reconnect with who you are beyond expectations and responsibilities. You don’t have to keep doing this alone.

My name is Deb, pronouns she/her, and I offer a range of therapy services designed for individuals aged 16 and over. I have supported many clients and colleagues over the years with their wellbeing and mental health, along with having my own past lived experience. Exploration of who we are and how we empower ourselves is something I am passionate about and want to debunk the myth that therapy is only something to reach for in crisis, mental and emotional wellbeing maintenance is as important as physical maintenance.

I love working with clients at key transition points in their lives - either to ride out an emotional storm, or to find their roots and flourish through the change. I have two particular areas of specialism: Working with individuals and couples exploring the transition to parenthood or later as they move and evolve into midlife; and working with healthcare professionals to explore the relationship between work and their wellbeing / sense of self. Our work might be about managing acute distress or unpicking the impact of trauma; or it might be more a space to slow down and explore who you are and what you need.

I work with clients who may be struggling with low mood/depression, pregnancy related concerns, antenatal and postpartum, motherhood and anxiety, and burnout.
Seeking therapy can be a significant milestone. I am an inclusive, proactive, and compassionate therapist. I offer a safe space to understand, examine and empathise with the many aspects of your story and by doing so, gain a better understanding on how to move forward towards a more fulfilling life. I have a keen interest in women’s health and work alongside my local Women’s Hospital, listening to patient experiences to help improve maternity services. I also have two children of my own and find my experience of motherhood has helped shape who I am as a therapist, offering an understanding of the role of being a 'mum'.

Hello! My name is Carmen and I am working as a private practitioner. I worked before in schools, drug and alcohol rehab and occupational health (EAP and assessments). I'll work with you in a way that will enable you to discover yourself, maybe the difficulty which probably causes you distress, increase your motivation and hopefully change your life in better. We can talk about what it is happening now but also we can address aspects from your past which are just on 'pause' at the minute but they 'creep' out whenever they want. Usually my sessions are based on your needs, purpose and action.

Hi, I’m Caroline and I’m an integrative, heart-centred psychotherapist. I’m glad you’re here. I know it can feel like a lot to look for a therapist and reach out for support. I tried to make my page punchy and straight to the point, but it didn’t feel like me anymore, so I decided to write you a letter instead. I hope this will help you to get a sense of whether I’m the right person to hold space for you, so get yourself a cup of tea and have a read. I’m guessing you’re here because you’re carrying something that you can’t work through on your own.

I have experience of maternal mental health presentations, particularly perinatal anxiety and depression and complicated and enmeshed sibling relationships.
In a world where a lot of things seem uncertain, one thing you should feel certain of is who you are: as a mother, a sibling, a child, a student, a human in the 21st Century. Through therapy with me, we address your changing identity, relationship with yourself and others, and what belonging means to you to find your place in the here and now so you can move forward as more confident and self assured, no matter what tomorrow may bring.

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Counsellors
What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?
The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.

When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?
Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.

How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?
A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioural therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviours. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.
