I understand that life can be challenging and complicated. Situations can make us feel low, stressed, anxious, and overwhelmed. As a result we can find it hard to focus, loose our sense of who we are, and can feel like we have lost control over our lives.

Do you struggle with change? Are endings difficult for you or do you find it hard to move on? Is life not turning out how you hoped or planned? Maybe you are feeling anxious, overwhelmed or depressed and would like someone to talk to. I’m here to listen.
Although we usually associate grief with the death of a loved one, there are other endings that can feel significant to us. Relationship break-up, redundancy, retirement, moving home, ill-health, worries about getting older can also be profound losses. These can trigger similar feelings of grief and they force us into a changed personal world.

I'm a Counselling Psychologist. I used to work in NHS services and I now work outside in nature. Therapy with me uses walk and talk appointments at parks in Cambridge or a nature reserve near St Neots. This provides a different experience than being sat inside and can change how engaging in therapy feels. Some people find it easier to talk about difficulties in walk and talk sessions. I provide therapy for a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, and couples counselling. I offer a free 30 minute telephone conversation to find out what help is needed and to answer any questions.

I never set out to work with a specific kind of person, however, around 70% of my clients tend to be women aged between 30 and 45. They worry, feel stressed and not good enough. They often find themselves saying 'what if' all the time having lost their zest for life without any knowledge of why! It might be triggered by past traumatic events, the challenges of juggling life, family or work. These feelings might be a new, unexplained experience or they may have been around for decades. Does this sound like you? Even if this doesn't, you may be like the other 30% of people I work with, and you matter too!

There is something quietly powerful about being properly seen and heard - without judgement, without interruption, and without needing to be anything other than yourself. In a world that often expects you to just keep coping, I offer a calm space. A space where your thoughts, feelings and experiences are met with warmth, compassion and care. Together, we can start to make sense of what feels overwhelming, help you gain insight and clarity, rediscover your inner strengths and create room for change at a pace that feels right for you.

Hello. I’m Sade, an HCPC registered Psychologist, Accredited Cognitive Analytic Therapist and EMDR therapist.
You might be feeling stuck in patterns that don’t seem to change, in relationships, emotions, or how you see yourself. Things can feel confusing, overwhelming, or harder than they should. Even when you try to understand or change things, you can find yourself ending up in the same place. I work with people to understand these patterns and where they come from, so things can begin to feel clearer and more manageable.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
