You might seem okay to the world yet feel overwhelmed, anxious or flat inside. I work with people who are tired of overthinking, juggling too much or feeling they have to hide parts of themselves, parents, students, creatives, shift-workers, office folk alike. The goal? Quieter thoughts, steadier moods and relationships where you can show up just as you are. If that sounds good, the therapy room is ready when you are.

By being curious, you are making the first initial step. Just by coming onto this platform with the intention of having a look, to see who you think you might like to work with. This potential journey is all about you and your discovery, but in order to do that I will share with you my discovery. My lived experience has given a depth of knowledge, that has now brought me to a place where I feel, not only have I embraced who I truly am, but curiosity, strength, compassion, and empathy have given me the ability to support others through those more challenging moments in life.

My clients choose to see me to help them address specific issues or to explore their thoughts and feelings in particular moments in their lives. Whatever the reason I offer them a confidential space where they can allow themselves to open up as much as they are comfortable with. Often issues are linked to self-esteem, self-worth and the difficulty to fully accept oneself. Clients are often able to become more confident in themselves and in relationships as they learn how to be more compassionate and kind to themselves. Therapy can help clients become happier, more fulfilled and successful in their life journey.

There are many reasons that bring people to therapy and the hard part is trying to find the right therapist for you. There are so many of us and some of the terms we use might be even more confusing and weird sounding. It doesn't have to be like that though. As a fully qualified and registered psychotherapist i see therapy as an opportunity to talk about whatever is troubling you in total confidence. As your therapist i won't be telling you what to do, however we will explore the conflicts and dilemmas you have and really look at what it means to "BE" you and have a greater understanding of your unique way of being in the world.

I work with clients who feel overwhelmed by life, work, or past experiences. They may be burnt out, anxious, grieving, or stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand. On the outside, they often appear fine, but inside they’re struggling. What they need is a safe, non-judgemental space to be truly heard and explore their feelings. Their goal isn’t quick fixes—it’s clarity, healing, and meaningful change. They want to reconnect with themselves and move forward with greater understanding, strength, and ease.

We all suffer from downturns and setbacks in our lives, believe me when I say that I am no exception! But it doesn't have to be the end of the road, perhaps more like a bend in the road. It's hard to see around those corners though. If you're feeling stuck at the bend without the support you need to get through, be it from the overwhelming electric feelings of anxiety; the slowing drudge of depressive thoughts and feelings, or the pain of losing a loved one, support is here for you.

Do you feel at a crossroads—perhaps stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by emotions that you can’t quite make sense of? You may be feeling anxious or low, struggling with a recent loss, processing difficult past experiences, or simply sensing that something in your life needs to change. You might be navigating a life transition, facing burnout, relationship difficulties, or feeling as though you’re living on autopilot. Sometimes, there’s no clear label for what’s wrong—just a sense that things could be better.

Men's Issues Counsellors

Is therapy for men different than it is for women?

Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.

How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?

It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can men prepare for therapy?

Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.

What should men know about the process of therapy?

One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
