Would you like to lead a happier, more fulfilling life? Or does your child struggle and need help? Life’s challenges and past experiences can be overwhelming and too much to cope with alone. Art therapy not only provides a powerful outlet for difficult feelings, thoughts and experiences but also helps to discover a way toward healing. There is no need to be artistic to benefit from Art Therapy and guidance can be given to explore a variety of art materials. I have also trained in women centred coaching.

I offer psychotherapy and/or hypnotherapy for trauma and anxiety. I understand the exhaustion of pretending to be ‘fine’ when we actually feel like we are falling apart. Trauma isn't always one big event; often, it’s a quiet, persistent hum in the background that shows up like this: Constant anxiety or "wired" nervous system, That nagging voice telling you you’re not good enough, Difficulty trusting in your closest relationships, Addictive patterns or PTSD symptoms that make the world feel unsafe. I know, first hand, the work it takes to heal but it CAN be done and I’m here to help and guide you every step of the way.

Hello, I’m Caroline and I’d like to help you if I can. I just want to share a little bit about me, I’m a wife and a mother to 3 adult children. My own struggles led me to counselling some time ago which sparked within me a desire to help others. I’ve worked with people from all walks of life helping them explore past or present issues that are impacting their every day life. I’m passionate about what I do and my counselling room is a warm, safe, non-judgmental space where you will be accepted, listened to and respected.

My training is in Solution Focused Therapy and I work with clients to address a variety of issues. I work with individuals and Couples. Solution Focused therapy uses a combination of techniques and questions to help enable clients to think about how they want to use therapy to achieve their goals and to make positive changes in their lives. I like to have a brief initial chat with each client before we start work together so I can introduce myself and we can discuss the client's needs and Best Hopes for therapy.

Perhaps you are looking for help to find your bearings while going through a time of crisis and/or you who wish to examine your life more fully to address issues that have affected you over time. With the help of therapy, you can start understanding your inner world and thought patterns more clearly and remove the feelings of anxiety and worry from your mind. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy aims to go deep into your emotions, understanding how your early life has formed strategies that might contribute to unhelpful patterns in adulthood with the aim of gradually removing distress, helping you to live a fuller life.

I am a Jungian Psychoanalyst with a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate life’s transitions, relationship challenges and the journey towards wholeness. Drawing from Carl Jung’s analytical psychology I work with clients to explore the unconscious patterns that shape their lives, integrate shadow aspects of the psyche and discover their authentic path forward. My approach combines traditional Jungian methods with contemporary therapeutic practices, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore dreams symbols and deeper meanings behind their struggles. I believe symptoms often carry important messages

Hi, I’m Jo. Do any of the following resonate with you? Are you feeling sick with anxiety, or is stress effecting your sleep at night? Has something happened and you don’t know who to talk to that won’t judge or be biased. Perhaps you feel pressure to get ‘it’ right, motherhood, career, family, life, parenthood and it feels like you’re not reaching the level you feel you should be? Have you had a traumatic experience? Do you worry how your loved ones/friends might react if you tell them how you are feeling? Are things feeling out of your control or over whelming?

When life gets difficult, the most courageous thing we can do for ourselves, is to reach out for help. Counselling is for anybody making their journey through the challenges of life. You might feel overwhelmed or just a little bit ‘stuck.’ Day-to-day tasks might be a struggle. You might have lost someone – recently or in the past. There might be changes in your life or difficult decisions to be made. Perhaps a past event keeps popping up, influencing the present more than you would like? Counselling can help.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
