You show up. You keep managing. But privately, you wonder how much longer you can keep going like this. I work with adults in their 20s, 30s and 40s who are holding it together on the outside while running low on the inside. Burnout that crept up slowly. Work stress that follows you home. Relationship patterns that repeat no matter how much you try to change them. I also work with people who have recently discovered or beginning to suspect that they may be autistic, ADHD or AuDHD or who simply feel like they're performing a version of themselves rather than bringing their true selves.

When we feel stuck, experience difficult emotions, or the challenges we are negotiating are distressing, finding a space to work through and move beyond such difficulties can feel overwhelming in itself. Through working together with you, I aim to create a space where you can explore, make sense of and manage distress, address challenges, build psychological resilience and mental well-being, while supporting you to develop skills and strategies for long-term mental health benefits.

I hold advanced training in mindfulness-based therapies, clinical hypnotherapy, & evidence-based psychological approaches.
Sometimes life feels harder than it should. I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, disconnected from themselves, or simply not quite like they used to. Many people come to me when overthinking is taking over, routines feel hard to maintain, life pressures are building up, or they’re navigating change, caregiving, pain, or uncertainty. Some people are looking for something more practical or accessible than traditional therapy, while others want support alongside it. Together, we focus on making things feel lighter, clearer, healthier, and more manageable — in ways that fit real life.

On the outside, life might look okay — but inside, it feels like something’s off. Maybe you’re overwhelmed, anxious, stuck in the same frustrating cycles, or just tired of holding it all together. You might not even know exactly why things feel hard — just that they do. I help individuals and couples untangle the inner noise, break free from old patterns, and reconnect — with themselves and each other. Whether you're navigating stress, disconnection, conflict, or a sense that life just isn’t working the way it should, therapy can offer real change — and real relief.

As a therapist I have worked primarily with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
I have been lucky enough in my career to date to work with some incredibly inspiring and brave individuals who have been at a crossroads in their life. Sometimes making change felt frightening or impossible due to past beliefs, stuck patterns of behaviour or limiting thought processes. Others were struggling to move on after devastation, illness, loss or identity crisis. I believe it is a privilege to be able to guide those in need at these times due to the courage and vulnerability they show. They are asking from the heart for a new beginning - to break from the past, not feel scared by the future and live truly in the present.

I am a mindfulness based psychotherapist trainee offering in-person sessions and online.
Hello and welcome. People often come to therapy when life feels overwhelming, when change is happening, or when familiar patterns keep pulling them into places of difficulty. Sometimes emotions feel too much to hold alone, or we sense that something within us is wanting to be heard. Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, but with the right support it can become a gentle and nourishing process. I’m a senior trainee in Core Process Psychotherapy and offer a safe, non-judgemental space to explore your experience with present-moment awareness and a gentle attention to what is happening in your body.

Sometimes issues and experiences build up in life, or we somehow lose our way. Or something happens that is outside of our control and we get thrown by it. When we reach out and speak about what is bothering us it gives us the opportunity to 'get out from under the experience', to make sense of what we are feeling and why we might be feeling that. This brings the possibility of using our current and past experiences and states to explore what in all of that might be useful for us, to move and to grow and flourish.

Mindfulness-Based (MBCT) Counsellors
How does mindfulness-based cognitive therapy work?
Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy originated in the work of John Kabat-Zinn of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He developed mindfulness-based stress reduction, which is a technique found in yoga and meditation. MBCT is a combination of this type of stress reduction and cognitive behavioral therapy; it essentially quiets emotional distress through mindfulness, utilizing proper breathing and meditation. These techniques aim to bring the individual into the present moment when in a state of distress.

When do I know if I need treatment with mindfulness-based cognitive therapy?
If an individual’s mind is filled with emotional distress and general negativity, the person may feel trapped. A mindfulness-based cognitive therapist can help a person change their thinking patterns as well as their behaviour through calm acceptance and compassion. This therapy can provide an individual with the coping skills needed for a healthier and more constructive life.

What should I expect from mindfulness-based cognitive therapy?
This therapy often takes place in group sessions. A therapist will work with the group as well as with each individual. Meditation and breathing exercises are core practices that aim to invite inquiry and discovery into a person’s troubled mental state. The objective is to identify and lessen negative thoughts and behaviours and move toward optimal health and productivity. The individual will see life in a more realistic way. This therapy is supportive, accepting, and warm.

Is mindfulness-based cognitive therapy effective?
Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy is evidence-based and effective. One study found that people with major depressive disorder have benefitted from this type of therapy; the person accepts their distressed thoughts and also moves into healthier patterns of thinking. This therapy also aims to move an individual away from automatic negative responses. This type of therapy can bring a person lifelong change, with higher levels of satisfaction, less stress, as well as positive emotional and behavioural habits.
