You may feel overwhelmed, unseen, or unsure how to make sense of your identity, past or present. Perhaps you’re LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, or carrying trauma. Maybe early experiences shaped how you see yourself, and you’re ready for that to change. You want someone who understands without judgment. You’re hoping to unmask, understand and share your emotions, heal old wounds, and grow into a steadier sense of who you are and what you want. Most of all, you’re longing for a safe, warm space where you can finally feel understood and supported.

I am a play and creative arts therapist, with additional training in sandplay therapy. I work with children aged 4-14 years and increasingly with children who are aged 8+. Play is a developmentally appropriate therapy for children. Older children often talk more about what is going on for them too and creative arts therapy (such as sandplay and art) helps deepen self-awareness and self-expression. I offer a safe, gentle and sensitive space for children and young people to be accepted however they are. I have experience in working with a range of presenting issues and difficulties and work collaboratively with parents.

Maybe there are days you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or just not feeling like yourself or who you want to be anymore? Is anxiety is making it hard to switch off, or you're being harder on yourself than you'd ever be to anyone else. Have you been diagnosed with ADHD, or suspect that there is more at play on difficult days? Whatever you are facing we can navigate that together, and explore new ways of managing, work towards realistic and supportive strategies, make time for self care, challenge unhelpful patterns and thoughts, as well as building a kinder and more compassionate internal voice.

Hello fellow travellers, my name is Jacqui. I want this to reach people who are travelling through life feeling lost and alone. People who are sick and tired of their same old story that no longer serves them. People who keep trying to convince themselves that if they just erase the old story, or write a different one with new characters, then hopefully the old story will fade away. But instead, those old, rickety pages are far too comfortable and familiar, and before you know it you find yourself travelling through them again, heading toward the same ending.

Life has a habit of bringing dilemmas, difficulties, and struggles into our path. It is just human to respond with hurt, shame, anxiety, or by feeling lost, stuck, and depressed. Psychotherapy can help you make sense of them and move forward. Whatever brings you to therapy, I aim to create a space where you can feel safe, understood, and listened to, a space where you can be fully yourself, with no need to perform or explain yourself. The ultimate goal is to help you create a more meaningful life and explore new ways of approaching your relationships with yourself, others, and the world.

I offer and draw on tools such as Archetypal astrology, Art therapy, Nature Walk & Talk, Horticultural therapy and Guided visualisation techniques.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that you are an expert in your own life. As a Psychosynthesis practitioner I hold that we are navigating a journey towards wholeness and coming home to yourself. This often comes through developing the sense of awareness of what is unfolding for you, moment to moment which is why the practices of Mindfulness can be very helpful. Through being present to what is stirring within you, a new sense of knowing is allowed to emerge, guiding you onwards.

My ideal client is the "adult good child" archetype: an individual who appears successful externally but feels internally exhausted from a lifetime of people-pleasing. Problem: They are paralysed by guilt when attempting to set boundaries, especially in difficult family dynamics. They struggle to say "no" and feel overly responsible for others' emotions. Need: They seek validation for their feelings and practical tools to build healthy self-interest and manage manipulation. Goal: To make decisions based on their own authentic values without being controlled by the fear of judgment or disappointing others.

If you’re feeling lost, stuck or struggling to understand yourself, I offer a calm, compassionate space to explore what’s going on beneath the surface. You may be experiencing low mood, anxiety, depression, grief, or navigating life as a neurodivergent person. You don’t have to face it alone. I work with teenagers, young adults and adults in a neuroaffirmative way and often work with neurodivergent individuals (ADHD, AuDHD, Autism and dyslexia specifically) and those beginning to wonder whether undiagnosed neurodivergence may be part of their story.

There is no pressure to make art within the sessions but there is always a selection of art materials, alongside other creative tools to aid exploration of your inner world.
My work is trauma informed, socially engaged and intersectional in its focus with the intention of being a safer space for individuals within the LGBTQ+ community. I follow a person centred approach, creating a unique relationship with each client. I offer an open, non judgemental space that nurtures a growing understanding of self and one's life experiences

I provide a safe and nurturing space for clients to explore their emotions, gain self-awareness and make positive changes in their lives, through therapy that speaks to the individual, whether that looks like talk therapy, art therapy, play therapy, dance, movement and body awareness.
Hi, I'm Tracey and I am a psychotherapist (MA)  and counsellor (dip).   I work with both adults and children.  I work online, and by telephone or in person at a private practice in Bratton, Wiltshire.  I am experienced working with trauma, anxiety, stress, depression and common relationship problems. I also have ten years experience of working with clients who have diagnosed or suspected neurodiversity, helping them to come to terms with 'difference' and it's affects, both societally, personally and emotionally.

How does art therapy work?
The process of making art allows people to express themselves. Art-making can take many forms, such as painting, collage, or sculpting. The therapist asks questions that the work elicits, such as how the person felt while creating their piece, or if any memories surfaced that they can discuss. The therapist will then work with the patient to process their experience, understand themselves better, and work toward change.

Does art therapy help with trauma?
Art therapy can be a valuable treatment option for those suffering from trauma. Traumatic experiences such as combat, rape, or childhood abuse can be so painful that articulating them can be too scary or painful; creating art allows people to express themselves without words, and tell their story in a different way. The physical nature of creating art can also help people feel rooted in the body, which may benefit those who feel disconnected from their body in the aftermath of trauma.

How long does art therapy last?
The duration of art therapy varies, but a common length for treatment is 10 to 15 weekly sessions. Some people may see improvement in just a few weeks, while others may choose to remain in therapy longer term. Patients should periodically discuss their goals with their therapist to make sure the two are aligned on process and progress.

What are the limitations of art therapy?
Art therapy is helpful for many people, but a limitation is that it doesn’t have as robust an evidence base as other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioural therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy. The evidence on art therapy is mixed; some research demonstrates its benefits, while other research suggests that it has little impact on patients.
